TechBBQ is Denmark's largest and oldest tech and innovation sum of almost 7 years, from the humble start and a conference on the exchange in 2013 to last year's two-day summit for 6600 guests in Øksnehallen. It is our goal to promote tech entrepreneurship and innovation in Denmark, and to put Denmark and the Nordic region on the map as an important European innovation hub.

We are the annual event where everyone from the environment meets, celebrating the past year's successes, learning from the mistakes, nurturing networks and creating new ones. Every strong entrepreneurial hub has its flagship event - and TechBBQ is ours.We are a small, tight-knit team that works tirelessly to pull off the greatest possible event every year to further the Danish and Nordic startup ecosystem.

As one of TechBBQ’s copywriter and content managers you will be responsible for copywriting, content writing, write newsletters, blog posts, and work closely with our marketing team in ensuring consistency in all communications efforts.

You will be an integral part of the team behind the event.You will work closely with our team and will be an integral part of the management team guiding TechBBQ 2019 to success.

Main responsibilities entail:

    • Content creation (for SoMe)

    • Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements

    • Assist in the writing of written communications and marketing.

    • Writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. ads, blog posts and website )

    • Source images and other content

We are looking for someone who has :

    • Bachelor studies in journalism or communications

    • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills

    • Interest in journalism, communication or PR and would maybe like to pursue this career in the future

    • Team player, who can work independently within the team and with others

    • Open-minded and like to interact with people from different backgrounds

With experience/skills in:

    • Written, oral and aural fluency in English is a must

    • Copywriting experience

    • Understanding of the relationship between PR, communications and marketing.

Hours :

This is a volunteer position (10-20 hrs/w) with primary work hours Monday to Friday 9-17 at our office in Copenhagen.But we are Flexible in hours and working remotely etc.The closer we get to the event, the more hours you are required to put in and also working at least the weekend up to the event.
