We are firm believers that good developers are not necessarily tied to 1 programming language, so if you're good in Perl, Ruby or Haskell, don't be shy to apply just because we’re using Python.

The person we're looking for will be working with the rest of the Backend team on our API together with our Frontend team to deliver new features. You should have previous experience working with APIs, RESTful practices, testing and CI/CD. 

Basic Requirements

• Professional experience of at least one year, preferably with multiple tech projects
• You love to think about systems and services and write high-quality code
• Great understanding of APIs and their ecosystem
• Solid English competence, written and verbal
• Good understanding of development workflows, version control and continuous integration

Great to Have

• Good Python skills
• MongoDB knowledge
• Docker / Kubernetes knowledge
• Graduate level education

Responsibilities

• Implementation of new features in our API
• Improve engineering standards, tooling and processes
• Help shape the future architecture of the backend
• Be part of dev decision making, together with internal or external teams
• Provide support for current and new Customers 

Our backend stack today includes Python, Bottle, MongoDB, Celery, RabbitMQ and hosting on Heruku and Google Cloud.

Our main office, where most of the team works, is at MESH in Oslo, Norway, with members working remotely from Switzerland, The Netherlands and Bulgaria.
