Thus, textiles are the second biggest cause to transmitting infections. Solution: HealthTextiles new sustainable fabrics, TorTex, with proven bacteriocidal activity is the solution to protect healthcare professionals by providing them with new uniform designed to protect against Staphylococcus Aureus. This bacterium is one of the five most common causes of hospital-acquired infections. No vaccine approved yet. Urbanization and worsening transport problems in cities (e.g. air pollution, noise, traffic injuries, congestion, parking shortages, etc) lead to new mobility trends. The increased importance of cycling and micro-mobility is one of them. Our mission is to enhance urban cycling and encourage more users to commute on their bikes. To do so we design, assemble and deliver unique electric bicycles (also called pedelecs) for urban commuters. But we are not just a bicycle manufacturer, we consider ourselves as a company defining urban mobility. We are a young Finnish startup company with 6 team members, who are currently living in 3 different countries. We came up with the concept of our e-bike and started active prototyping in early 2019. We've already built first prototypes, tested key hypotheses and are now on the final stage of product development. Because of an ongoing patenting process, we are still in somewhat "stealth mode".

Background The 2014 winter Olympics in Sochi is unfortunately known for a huge doping scandal, creating a debate on how to increase the secure chain of custody within in the anti-doping industry. Validicity AB was initiated by the Arne Ljungqvist Foundation to actively combat anti-doping in human sports, by developing a new hardware solution combined with a blockchain-based system creating a secure supply chain (https://www.arneljungqvist.com/). A team of experts was brought together with deep knowledge in their respective field in order to solve this challenge and develop the future chain of custody in anti-doping. The first market segment of the company is for doping control in human sports, followed by an equestrian sports segment. A third segment will be solutions addressing work-place testing operations. Expanding the system, Validicity can basically serve any vertical that needs a secure supply chain such as pharma, food, toxic waste and high-end goods. Since the company was founded in the beginning of February 2018, a first functional prototype has been developed, a European patent application has been filed and parts of the team attended the WADA conference initiating talks with potential customers and partners. We have designed a filtration system, with the purpose of collecting particles such as microplastics and aquatic biomass from seawater, used in production and maritime industries.
