We have developed FieldSense, an application for web and smartphones that allows agricultural farmers and advisory services to monitor crop development using satellite technology. The application helps farmers track the photosynthetic activity of crops at a cellular level. This information can be used to identify issue areas in crops before visible symptoms of damage occur, allowing farmers to begin issues treatment at a much earlier stage and thus reducing the risk of potential yield loss.

In recent years we have witnessed intense tropical storms, costing thousands of lives, as well as massive destructions. For example: in 2005, hurricane Katrina killed more than 1,800 people and caused damage of $ 90 billion. In 2016, hurricane Matthew swept across Haiti, taking 852 lives and destroying many towns on the island. The total estimated cost for damage caused by hurricanes in 2017, is calculated at $250 billion. Tropical hurricanes are generated when masses of cold and warm air collide. Another essential factor is that the sea surface temperature is above 26.5°C. Climate change is causing sea surface temperatures to increase. In the case of hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria that occurred between August and September 2017, sea surface temperatures were measured as high as 32°C. The big questionIs it possible to cool the sea surface to below 26.5°C by exploiting colder water from deeper in the water column? Globally, one in four people has some form of vision impairment that makes it difficult to understand the current communication formats. We believe in visual storytelling and are experts in this niche field. We have created many projects on different topics and have communicated them successfully with our audience.
