Ocean Industry Forum Oslofjord

Ocean Industry Forum Oslofjord is the Oslo chapter of "Maritimt Forum". It's a not-for profit association with an aim to encourage innovation in the ocean industries and to support ocean start-ups and help them become scale-ups. Most of the maritime, offshore and other ocean industries are in big need of innovation, and we have a small, but significant enough role to play in that respect. We will work with other actors, like The Hub, in the Oslofjord region and beyond, to achieve this goal.

Skillbreak

Skillbreak is a Stockholm-based startup founded in 2017, dedicated to creating opportunities of life-long learning that provide the customers with not only a new set of skills but meaningful social connections and experiences. Skillbreak offers hundreds of creative workshops with Sweden's foremost experts in crafts, arts and design. The platform allows creators, influencers and artists to make more money on their skills, by teaching what they know best. We believe in life-long learning, skill-sharing and making social meaningful. We want to revolutionize education, democratize creativity and create more job opportunities for more people around the world. As a team, we are life-long learners and we want to make continuous learning a habit for more people. Wavers by SundhedsDanmark IVS

Wavers is developed as a result of the challenges with mental health that workplaces are faced with today. Mental illness is increasingly prevalent, and The National Research Center for the Working Environment (NFA) estimates that the direct and indirect societal costs of mental problems are 55 billion Danish kroner (approx. 8 billion USD). Sadly, the corona crisis has certainly not contributed positively to this trend. The crisis generates huge insecurity for companies and their employees and can potentially trigger mental problems such as anxiety, stress and depression. We have just released our app “Wavers” which is supported by the union “the Velliv Association.” Wavers is a dynamic health platform that detects and prevents problems and challenges at workplaces before it turns into serious problems. Through our app, employees are urged and motivated to take responsibility for their own and their colleagues’ wellbeing by answering questions (that can be asked by everyone), while maintaining their anonymity, until the unique reach out-feature is used which gives the unsatisfied person the opportunity to accept a helping hand from another colleague. Therefore, the workplace’ mental health becomes a shared project and responsibility for all employees. Fashion sales agency.  With showrooms in Copenhagen, Paris and New York, and partnerships in Berlin, Shanghai and Tokyo, we globally represent a curated group of international designers. Academy

We have a growing shortage in Finland of people with the right IT-skills. Traditional education institutes have struggled with this talent shortage, and that is why we have started Academy, a school providing Accelerated Learning Programs. We are building the skills that the industry needs while boosting careers of truly ambitious people. With the help of a free training program that lasts 12 weeks, we offer the possibility for people to change their careers.

DIGURA

DIGURA has build an advanced software, where we can assess cases based on previous rulings and compare it to the specific cases. Therefore every case we take in is an accessory to further the development of our system. This has led to more efficient case management, and this means that we can focus on the clients needs and keep our services at a high level. The software has enabled us to optimize our case management and therefore handle a case 80% faster than any other similar company. DIGURA consists of 15 persons from Aalborg, Aarhus, and Copenhagen. The organization is split into two departments: half of the team works with marketing and communication and the other half works with law. Particular for our team is that everyone has some special skills important for the company which they are able to contribute with (skills besides the study). There is among us all a very ambitious mentality, which is important for the success of the company. The members of the DIGURA team have already won several awards and published several books within law, proving that the team is very ambitious. We work fast and efficiently, but we always remember to praise each other and keep an incredibly good atmosphere. Everyone is really valued at the company for what they contribute with. Therefore, there is a really good working environment at DIGURA. You can either meet and work together, or work from home. The most important thing is to keep the deadlines agreed on each week. There is not yet a deadline that was not reached. We hold a meeting once a week where everybody participates, so everybody knows what has been done in the last week, and what is on the program for the next week. Besides that, we always end the meetings with shoutouts and praise. To sum up, DIGURA is for the ambitious mindset who is all in, have some special ability relevant for DIGURA and for those who can contribute to the good tone and social environment.
