Astrid Wild launched in late 2019 by us, Maria & Jemina. We got tired of the uninspiring and non-flattering selection of outdoor wear for women, and decided to create our own brand. We design high quality outdoor clothing with timeless Scandinavian design and a tailored fit for a woman’s body. Sizes range from 2XS to 4XL. Sustainability is at our core and has influenced many decisions, for example working with recycled materials, avoiding seasonal collections and placing our manufacturing in Europe. We’re passionate about inspiring women to spend more time in nature, and by increasing diversity in the outdoor scene we want to make nature more accessible for all women. We build "booking.com" for car service to help garages get new customers and to offer consumers a transparent service where they can find trusted garages who treat them well. Our product core is an automatic search engine which can produce a quotation of any car maintenance or repair job the vehicle manufacturer has described. The core is used to automate garages quotation process to minimize their workload. With our service garages can focus on their key selling point; customer service. JackFinder is a startup founded in 2017 and located in Maria 01 startup campus. We are currently two guy team and a bunch of advisors and investors supporting us. We both Akseli and Heikki are engineers (our soft spot is weird old cars) and a bit nerdy, but you don’t have to be. Maternity Foundation is a Danish tech non-profit that works to ensure a safer childbirth for women and newborns, everywhere. Through our Safe Delivery Program, we use digital training- and learning tools to support and train skilled birth attendants across Africa, Asia, and soon the Middle East. We work from a shared vision that it should never cost life to give life. Over the past 10 years, we have grown from a smaller Danish NGO working on the ground in Ethiopia to a global actor within digital health and learning for skilled birth attendants. Our mobile solution, SafeDelivery, is currently implemented across multiple countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia and has reached more than 200,000 health workers – even in the most remote and fragile settings. We work with partners such as UNFPA, UNICEF, Ministries of Health, Plan International, Red Cross and Save the Children in more than 15 countries. We are a global team of almost 40 colleagues in Denmark, Ethiopia, India, and the US. We come from various backgrounds – global health, midwifery, anthropology, IT, and the business world – and we take pride in an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude.
