There are nearly half a billion hobby gardeners who are missing a place to share their passion and provides smart tools for modern gardeners. Odla Mer will solve this problem by building an inspiring and engaged community that provides smart tools and insights from “crowd-sourced” data to help make gardening easy, sustainable, and pleasurable for modern gardeners. I found solace in gardening when I was dealing with severe anxiety and depression disorder. I missed an app that was dynamic to my growing conditions and helped covert online inspirations to plant care instructions easily. As a new gardener, it can get very overwhelming. I wanted to solve this problem to help many gardening enthusiasts to grow more with the least effort. I know we would rather spend the time gardening than fiddling with the app :D With every person we help garden more, we have a positive impact on their wellbeing, the environment, and society as a whole.

Cheers is a two-sided platform with consumers in one end and bars/event places/festivals in the other end. We strive to make going out more convenient for the consumer. We want to; minimize queue times, prevent unnecessary walking between places that are already full to find a table and make it easier to find where "the party's at". On the bar-side of things we want to automate on optimize as much of the process and pains the bars experience on a busy night.

In 2020, we created Hydrosafe after winning the Start-Up Programme by FFE for the idea of protecting hydraulic connections on agricultural machinery against dust and other particles. Since then, we have patented and developed a grip that provides farmers with the ability to identify (colors/ID), handle (grip) and maintain (rubber bellow) their hydraulic hoses/connections without wasting time on cleaning the couplings to prevent leaks. Today, Hydrosafe is the only start-up developing smarter accessories for hydraulic connections on agricultural equipment and construction machinery. Nanobodies are essential in diagnostics and pharmacology research, and we strive to bridge the gab between researcher and nanobody. The Synobody platform is a highly customizable system developed to ease the implementation into common lab practices independent of application. Although Nbs have huge potential within a wide span of research areas, it has struggled to find its way to market. The necessity of llama immunization and lack of systemization keeps prices high and diminishes ease of adaptation into common lab routines. At Synobody, we want to bridge the gap between Nb-technology and researchers, by addressing these barriers. To eliminate llama immunization, the company has developed a highly diverse and fully synthetic Nb-library used to systematically screen for high-affinity Nb. Identified nanobodies can readily be fused to tags or labels and function with secondary Nb commercially available on the Synobody platform.

Helsinki-based digital marketing and language localization company SULONORTH was founded by Alina Lehtinen-Vela in 2019. Alina grew up in Finland’s Häme region and in the capital, Helsinki. After graduating with a degree in Scandinavian languages from the University of Helsinki, she spent a decade traveling the world and working in language localization, journalism, and marketing. Her writing has appeared in Finnish publications such as Mondo, Keskisuomalainen, Turun Sanomat and Etelä-Suomen Sanomat. Being a ‘digital nomad’ and working in a plethora of beach resorts, backstreet cafes, and border towns was fun though, alas, everyone grows up. The demand for localized digital marketing and direct engagement with online audiences was one of the reasons that she decided to set up shop back home in Finland. SULONORTH is now running at full throttle from a plant-filled office in Helsinki’s Lauttasaari district. Don’t stop her now! This isn’t to say Alina’s nomad days are entirely over.
