BxSoftware ble stiftet i 2011, etter at programvare hadde blitt et stadig viktigere produktområde for Barex Distribution og BarCom Labelling. Barex og BarCom har lenge levert egen programvare som et tilleggsprodukt til håndterminaler, men fra 2011 har programvaren fått mer fokus og blir solgt som et selvstendig produkt via BxSoftware. Vårt søsterselskap Barex Distribution har i 2015 blitt kjøpt opp av EET Europarts, som har blitt vår nye hoveddistributør av vår programvare. Vi har som mål å være markedsledende på innovasjon og kostnadseffektive løsninger for logistikk og datafangst. BxSoftware selger standardiserte produkter via et bredt forhandlernett, men leverer også tilpasninger og spesielt utviklede løsninger til bl.a. prosess-industri og lagerautomasjon, der vi får utnyttet vår kompetanse på logistikk, integrasjon og datafangst.

Connecting Grounds is a food start-up based in Aarhus that up-cycles spent coffee grounds (a.k.a. coffee waste) into a food ingredient for B2B snack and confectionary companies and restaurants. Why do we do it? 1. Environment Spent coffee grounds are often treated as waste. Think about how many cups of coffee you or the people around you drink per day. All the coffee waste from drinking coffee adds to the Greenhouse Gas Emissions. 2. Nutritional Value When we brew our cup of coffee, we are only taking advantage of 1% of coffee's nutrients. 99% of these nutrients stay in the spent coffee grounds. These nutrients include caffeine, dietary fibre, proteins and valuable minerals. What we do is change the narrative behind hidden food waste by starting with coffee by-products. By up-cycling such a product, we evert emissions, take advantage of our resources and raise awareness on the importance of up-cycling. Rethinking food is what we do, and we will not stop with coffee by-products. We will continue to search for resources/ingredients that have the potential of being reintroduced in the food stream, again.

Initial tests on data from Common Crawl (which is the same data used to train ChatGPT) shows that we can cut search times in Elasticsearch by 30-50% depending on search type used. The increase in search speed means that our software enables a more efficient use of servers in Elastic clusters, helping our customers save money on servers. It also means that the software reduces server energy consumption as fewer servers are needed to do the same amount of search. Sadly some of our co-students did not have a, and many of them were faced with the huge personal defeat of dropping out. Therefore, we encouraged the university management to divide all new students into study groups. But that task was too complex for them, so they asked us to come up with a solution. And we did. At UniHelper we have developed software that forms optimal study groups for several thousand students in the blink of an eye. This ensures that every single student becomes part of a study group from the first day of the study. And the universities can automate the entire group formation process, reduce loneliness and avoid students dropping out.
