ElastiSense

ElastiSense has developed a portfolio of unique sensor solutions for industrial applications helping its client in their digitalization journey. Assets unplanned downtime is one of the largest challenges across industrial segments causing, in average 1 million USD, revenue loss per incident. Over 80% of the customers experience unplanned downtime, and a similar number believes that digitalization is the tool to minimize this problem. Therefore 55% have or plan to invest in digitalization tools to enable predictive maintenance and better assets monitoring and control. Digital tools like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Digital Twins are designed to facilitate the above. However, they all need data from the assets which must be collected by sensors. Sensors and sensorization of assets are therefore the first part of customers digitalization journey. Available sensor solutions, especially displacement measuring sensors, are historically designed for well-controlled and clean environment like manufacturing industry. They inherent design therefore limits their use in aggressive applications. Therefore, the search for new displacement sensors have never been higher. We are the first who have developed and matured industrial displacement sensors primarily made of rubber material. Thanks to their resilience against mechanical and environmental aggressions, these sensors can sensorized even the most aggressive applications in the field. These sensors can be mounted e.g. on a mining machine, or a bridge or tunnel, on a aggressive manufacturing machine and generate data and information about the moving parts of the machines which breaks most often and therefore in crucial need of monitoring. The founders of ElastiSense are all former employees of Danfoss and have been involved on magnitude of projects where they again and again could see the problem. The founder finally took the leap to start up ElastiSense when they received an enquiry from Grundfos on digitalizing their production line with this new technology. Since then the team have succeeded to introduce the product to multitude of markets verticals.

Clicktrip

Born during the Covid-19 crisis, Clicktrip is on a mission to reconnect the world through travel. Clicktrip combines low prices on over 1 million hotels with a simple booking process, to bring the joy back to travel. Clicktrip has a growing hotel room inventory across the globe. This means that we are able to offer low prices on rooms whatever the destination.

Tripulse

Tripulse is a Swedish impact startup with the mission to inspire people to be active, and to create sustainable, health-friendly, ethical, high-performing and comfortable activewear. We are advocates of responsible consumption and aim to make activewear truly sustainable by choosing nature-based and microplastic-free solutions that are good for our planet and people. Tripulse stands for fitness, sustainability and community, which form the core values of the brand. Our mantra is to BE BETTER, meaning to be better to ourselves, our environment and each other. Nordic Startup School aims to be the best program for pre-seed startups in Europe. While Tomi Terentjeff was living in US, he noticed that plenty of Finnish startups showed interest on US markets and were coming there to scout the market. Unfortunately, most of the startups were not prepared to enter the US market, since a lot of funding is required and startups need to be precise on what they are doing and what value it is provided to the customers. Nordic Startup School was then founded to improve the quality of startups and educate their founders to become the best possible entrepreneurs they can be because companies come and go, but founders stay around longer. Nordic Startup School is based on values that we all believe in, centered on the “No assholes” rule. We make a long-term impact on startups and thus on society, but we do not compromise on our values for any amount of money. We want to be an example of inclusiveness, diversity, openness, and genuine cooperation. We aim to be the “hippie VC”, as we have been nicknamed. We are professional and efficient yet chill since we understand that all is temporary and one day we will be dead, and rather do things we are passionate about than live in regret our beautiful existence.
