SilkOcean

SilkOcean is a spin-out of Ph.D. projects by students of AAU, DTU, and Chalmers specialized in Power Electronics design and Condition Based Monitoring solutions. At SilkOcean, we are focused on the introduction of chemical-free, zero-emission sustainable solutions. Our ideas and designs have been recognized and rewarded by business leaders and innovation sponsors, and foundations. Our team consists of highly educated and, at the same time, very industrial experienced members who at the same time value the friendly and fun working environment. We believe that doing our jobs in a distinctly innovative way is the key to our success.

FYEO

To empower the individual, FYEO is employing a Web 3.0 approach towards password identity and access management informed by our core vision that online security is a fundamental right that should be available to anyone, not just those that can afford it. Informed by our experience in the cybersecurity sector, our view is that the current state of the “Identity-as-a-Service” (IDaaS) market is neither effective in light of the challenges posed in the present by leaked passwords nor effectively integrating Web 3.0 approach. By applying the principle technology behind blockchain technology, namely private key generation, FYEO in a proprietary patented approach has created an exponentially more secure password management and breach monitoring platform than any other currently available solution on the market by offering benefits such as greater cryptographic resistance to expected technology advances such as quantum computing, lower compliance costs through blockchain data storage and ease of integration due to its compatibility with password-dependent legacy IT infrastructure and applications.

Walking for Water

W4W is a danish NGO working for Clean Water and Sanitation for all. Our main area of operation is Africa. So far we've raised funds for about 50 water pumps for poor communities across five African countries. Communities in need apply on our website for clean water assistance. We review the requests and our local partners visit promising communities to evaluate needs and provide borehole installation quotes. We then fundraise, mainly from Danish companies and donors, to sponsor water projects matched to communities. Our partners handle borehole establishment and provide project updates and photos to sustain engaged support. This model allows donors to directly aid worthy recipients in achieving life-changing clean water access. Our organisation is completely run by volunteers: - The Board of Directors (Elected annually by members. Take major decisions and give directions) - The Project Group (Validating applications, communicating with local partners, bargaining with contractors and sending funds) - The Web Group (Updating the website) - The SoMe group (Handing content creation and posting of annonces and organic posts on the organisations SoMe handles) - The Members Group (Responsible for recruiting and keeping passive members and volunteers) *Group currently empty* - The Sponsor Group (Responsible for finding sponsors for our projects) *Group currently empty* We need assistance to innovate and run vital parts of our operations. Let us hear from you, if you'd like to get involved!

FoodJudge

FoodJudge is developing a mobile application to help everyday hungry restaurant go'ers around the world have the perfect food experience with our research platform aggregating reviews and opinions. Ever wondered what to order when dining in a restaurant? Ever feel like trying something new on the menu, but being concerned you will not like it? Ever wanting to try the very best version of your favourite dish? This is the situation for millions of people around the world every day. And who actually decides which burger is best in town? A handful of food critics or the thousands of people dining every day? FoodJudge wants to give all restaurant go'ers the platform to make informed decisions, get inspired, voice their opinion and be the real food critics. FoodJudge is solving these issues by: 1) Aggregating reviews and opinions of thousands of restaurant go'ers. 2) Providing every restaurant go'er with detailed reviews on each dish on the menu. 3) Sharing reviews and opinions with restaurant owners to help them improve and adjust their menu and dishes. 4) Empowering every restaurant go'er to become the food critic of today and let them decide on where the best burger in town is. The transparency TrustPilot has generated for the travel business, or Vivino has for Wine, the same FoodJudge want to do for food.

Ample

The purpose of Ample is to improve the quality of public discussion. Ample's service brings the expertise of the scientific community to the pages of news media sites. Our service enables a direct channel between citizens and the scientific community. Improving the standing and role of academics and universities in the public discussion is central to our mission. In the current media and public discussion environment, finding clear and reliable information on current affairs has become increasingly difficult. Public discussion often takes place in opinion-heavy bubbles and can be dominated by disinformation as scientific voices have been isolated from the discussion. These issues have blended into an intensifying deterioration of public discussion and even a threat to the democratic process. Ample’s service, in a nutshell, is to offer a new communication ecosystem that brings researchers to discuss with the public on news media sites. It has been designed to work on the news media's own website, and extends from there to various social media channels. For news media, the service continues the life cycle of news articles, offering readers high-quality content, but in a conversational format. Ample has a strong social angle, and our design focus has been on improving the quality of public discussion, as well as reducing the effects of disinformation, but also strengthening the ecosystem around journalistic content.

TrustLabs AS

TrustLabs is developing an easy-to-use platform that helps small and medium businesses with authenticating and verifying their online customers' identities without having to deal with complex tools nor robbing the bank. Today everyone building a online business needs to settle with IT security tooling that is extremely complex to operate. These are often tools provided by larger Identity Management vendors cobbled together from multiple acquisitions without consideration of the jobs-to-be-done by the developer and IT organizations. Instead of spending weeks or months, the developers should be able to integrate a social provider or electronic identification (eID) provider in minutes and hours into their apps. Our solution is an highly automated platform supporting OpenID Connect and OAuth as main interfaces. Customer applications will only need to work through a single interface that offers normalized responses across the all identity providers so that our customers don't need custom code for each identity provider their app needs to support. Less code is less failures is less time spent on maintenance. With a highly-automated technology stack we are reducing the costs for everyone so that everyone can focus their energy on where it matters the most - generating value through pleasing their customers! Identity management see rapid changes and new innovations. There is always a battle to beat the malicious actors. We see new blockchain based identity schemes emerge aiming for better consumer privacy. This is all good news! At the same time, its important that businesses don't need to scrap their existing technology investements and any new tech should augment, not replace existing infrastructure. That's why the TrustLabs platform supports the new protocols needed for letting businesses use new mobile wallets, such as the EU Digital Identity Wallet, while still supporting traditional identity systems. The TrustLabs founders have worked in the identity management space for many years building successful products serving majority Fortune 500 companies in their digital transformations. We have first hand experience of the struggles that every business goes through when implementing a digital identity strategy. We believe there is a better way, where also small and medium companies can reap the benefits of serving their customers as online businesses. To do that, the security tooling and especially identity related tooling needs vast improvements, not in number of options or features, but in how they solve the jobs to be done in an easy and intuitive manner.

Flexbuy
