Digital fraud and phishing have become easier through artificial intelligence and pre-made kits that break down language barriers and exploit humans through social engineering techniques that defraud victims regardless of age and technical knowledge. Social engineering also called “hacking the human” is a crucial part of the criminals’ techniques that lures users into divulge information. Central is influence, persuasion and use of authorities. A scam number takes an average of 45 seconds, where many often do not have time to stop and check for signs of fraud due to a busy everyday life when taking advantage of stressful periods. Likewise, current companies’ fraud detection methods fail to detect fraud proactively, because it is hidden behind multiple links, barriers and special domains making it hard to scrape the internet because websites change constantly.
