Cascable is a small, “indie” development company that makes apps for photographers on iOS, macOS, and watchOS with the goal of providing high-quality tools no matter which camera the user has. Cascable for iOS, for instance, aims to allow photographers to replace their laptop with an iPhone or iPad with a suite of powerful features. Cascable Pro Webcam lets users use their camera as a webcam for their Mac. We also have a B2B product, CascableCore, which is an SDK for connecting to cameras via USB and the network. Cascable’s goal is not “growth at any cost”, but rather to build a company that’s sustainable in the long-term, supported by great products. Cascable hasn’t taken any outside investment, and doesn’t plan to — it’s funded entirely by sales of its products.

We are in indie game developer based out of Oslo, Norway. We have to date launched five games for PC, Switch and mobile platforms. At the moment we develop "Life Below", a creative strategy city-builder where you build and manage ocean ecosystems. So a reef builder! In addition to our own IP, we develop games and gamification projects for society. We call ourselves an impact game developer as many of our projects are focused on positive change to society. Right now we develop a game for all kids going into hospital, a history game to spice up history learning in schools, a city cleaning game using the mascot of Oslo, a climate game and an awareness game tackling difficult issues in relation to sex and identify. As a bigger consequence, we are in danger that so many people being in poorer health that it will have consequences for both the labour market and the health services in the future. Research shows that children are more open to healthy eating if they are allowed to participate in cooking, and if they are allowed to decide for themselves. Connecting Grounds is a food start-up based in Aarhus that up-cycles spent coffee grounds (a.k.a. coffee waste) into a food ingredient for B2B snack and confectionary companies and restaurants. Why do we do it? 1. Environment Spent coffee grounds are often treated as waste. Think about how many cups of coffee you or the people around you drink per day. All the coffee waste from drinking coffee adds to the Greenhouse Gas Emissions. 2. Nutritional Value When we brew our cup of coffee, we are only taking advantage of 1% of coffee's nutrients. 99% of these nutrients stay in the spent coffee grounds. These nutrients include caffeine, dietary fibre, proteins and valuable minerals. What we do is change the narrative behind hidden food waste by starting with coffee by-products. By up-cycling such a product, we evert emissions, take advantage of our resources and raise awareness on the importance of up-cycling. Rethinking food is what we do, and we will not stop with coffee by-products. We will continue to search for resources/ingredients that have the potential of being reintroduced in the food stream, again.
