WeDoBooks was established to create more and better readers because reading is a fundamental building block for learning, education and creativity. Access to the right book at the right time is one of the biggest motivators for reading. That is why we specialise in helping publishers get digital books to readers as quickly and easily as possible - whether the reader uses the library, goes to school or uses commercial services or bookstores. Catalysta is building the most accurate, transparent and user-friendly platform to help organizations calculate their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The platform is built around first-hand learnings from 100+ GHG accounting projects and 20.000+ hours of work. The market for GHG tools is growing rapidly as large organizations and financial institutions across Europe will have to report their emissions from 2025, and Catalysta is well-positioned to capture this demand via our novel data refinement solution, striking a best-in-class balance between accuracy and automation. We have just raised a pre-seed round, have a pipeline of potential customers, and are hiring early team members to join us on our mission to make sustainability impact more transparent and actionable.

Alt for mange mennesker brugte værdifuld tid på at navigere i komplicerede systemer, bare for at finde en bil, der passede til deres behov. Vi ønskede at ændre dette ved at bygge en platform, der giver kunderne kontrol og sikrer, at de får de bedste tilbud uden den sædvanlige stress. CARZILLA blev skabt ud fra vores ønske om at gøre rejsen mod at lease eller købe en bil nemmere, hurtigere og bedre for alle.

Galeria 18 is developing a unique, Southern European-inspired gallery space to help art lovers and emerging artists find a creative community, explore new art forms, and showcase their talent in a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere. Our mission is to foster creative connections and make contemporary art accessible to all, with a hands-on approach to curating, exhibitions, and workshops. In the contemporary art scene, emerging artists often face barriers to gaining visibility and connecting with a community of like-minded creators. Many galleries are formal, exclusive, and intimidating, leaving talented artists without a platform to share their work. Art enthusiasts, on the other hand, are looking for a more relaxed, intimate experience where they can appreciate art at their own pace and engage with the creative process. This gap affects both the artist's exposure and the audience’s ability to connect deeply with art. At Galeria 18, we are solving this by creating a dynamic space that blends a gallery with a creative hub. Our gallery showcases modern art from both emerging and established artists, offering a platform for creativity, connection, and growth. In addition to exhibitions, we host workshops and courses led by the artists themselves, fostering a community where artists can share knowledge and connect with visitors. We aim to break down the barriers between artists and the public, making art more approachable and interactive. The motivation to start Galeria 18 came from a deep desire to create a space where art can flourish in a non-intimidating, vibrant atmosphere. I, Karen Dulong, have always been passionate about both art and entrepreneurship. With my background in strategic design and entrepreneurship and my own experience as an artist, I saw an opportunity to create something different – a gallery that not only showcases art but also acts as a creative haven for both artists and the community. This gallery is my way of supporting artistic talent and making art a more inclusive, shared experience.

True Energy A/S

Many people are talking about the smart grid and how we can reach 100% sustainable energy, and avoid global warming getting out of hand, by intelligently balancing the consumption so it fits with the electricity production. At True Energy we're already doing it! True Energy offers a smart charging app to our end users so they can register their car or charger and have it start or stop charging based on the hour of day and the electricity price, so the user optimizes their charging to be cheapest. The service is free of charge for the end user because they participate in our flexibility pool where the power companies can buy offsetting of the consumption if the grid is overloaded or production is expensive. We use Google Workspace, GitLab as code repo, Jira for our agile project management, and Slack for chat. We have a policy of 100% line coverage for unit tests, and want to support continuous delivery. We focus on collaboration and an open, inclusive work environment. Our team is multinational, and the working language is English, so full proficiency is required.. We have team members in several time zones.

As society has progressively moved towards increased digitalisation and users have increased requirements for remote access to services, there is a greater need for secure methodologies that allow companies to identify and transact with customers and other stakeholders remotely. The government is no exception to this change: employees and stakeholders increasingly expect to be able to interact remotely with the government, both easily and safely. Biometric technologies are becoming ubiquitous, especially in support of remote interactions: when implemented well, they can bring tremendous advantages to business, government and their stakeholders with a slicker user experience, improved trust and lower costs. Inevitably, new opportunities come with new challenges, including: - Identity theft: biometric databases are proliferating and criminals are highly motivated to acquire biometric credentials and use them to impersonate others, usually for fraudulent purposes. Biometric credentials are far more valuable to criminals because, unlike passwords, they can’t simply be changed if stolen. - Trust: as remote interactions become the norm, it’s essential that both parties can be highly confident of the other’s identity. A business, government or service provider will need to be confident that the person connecting to the service is both a real person and the right person. - Exclusion: for those who do not have the necessary technology or skills, or perhaps bias in the biometric system that discriminates against some demographics and characteristics (such as skin colour and ageing). - Compliance: unlike passwords, biometrics are tied to an individual’s characteristics and could be used to identify that individual. GDPR places biometrics in a special or sensitive category of personal data and demands much stronger safeguards around collection and safekeeping.
