HEKA VR is a medical software platform that enables Avatar-Therapy, a form of psychotherapy, to be conducted in a Virtual Reality or in a Telehealth setting. VR-based Avatar Therapy combines psychology and VR technology to provide transformative interventions for mental health disorders. Grounded in research, this therapy utilises virtual reality and avatars to create immersive experiences. Through the concept of embodiment, individuals psychologically connect with their avatars, leading to significant changes in thoughts and behaviours. In schizophrenia, Avatar Therapy helps patients gain control over auditory hallucinations, but Avatar Therapy holds promise for improving mental health outcomes among patients with Eating Disorders, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, Borderline disorder, Major Depressive Disorder and many more. Heka VR was born through a public-private partnership and research project called The Challenge Trial - initiated in 2019, funded by the Danish Innovation Fund and with the final research results published in The Lancet Psychiatry in July 2025. The results show that VR based Avatar-Therapy is a an effective new treatment method for 7/10 patients with treatment resistant Schizophrenia. Currently Heka VR is involved in 10+ clinical trials and studies around the world, from North America to APAC. IDUN audio is a Copenhagen-based startup developing spatial audio software for headphones, making them sound 3-dimensional, just like in real life. As humans we can naturally hear where sound is coming from, and how far away things are. But when listening with headphones we cannot use these abilities since all the sound is inside our heads. This is a very unnatural experience, making us tired at the end of the day. We are radically changing this with our breakthrough spatial audio technology using head tracking. With IDUNs technology running in the headphone, listening with headphones becomes as natural as in everyday situations.

Our software tool provides predicted properties of (bio) chemicals based on data-driven algorithms and quantum chemistry, which helps to reduce the number of experiments in R&D. Every (bio)chemical process or product needs physico-chemical properties (e.g. solubility, density) data to simulate unit operations and flowsheets of chemical manufacturing processes. Also, the formulation of products such as more sustainable solvents or more efficient materials need property calculations for designing these products. Scientists and engineers at biotech companies usually fail to develop and simulate new processes and products because: (I) the experimental data for specific molecules are not available, (II) no physical property models have been developed for the desired compounds which give satisfiable predictions, (III) measurements are too time- and material-consuming to perform. MQS has developed a software which provides novel property prediction models based on machine learning and quantum chemistry (Figure 1), in which the input from experiments can be reduced or is negligible. There are too many lonely elderly people and it is too difficult to learn Danish as a foreigner.We solve these two problems by arranging for foreigners, learning Danish, to visit elderly Danes. The foreigner comes to the home of the Dane once a week, They learn Danish by having a normal conversation with the elderly.Municipalities pay us for bettering their activation of the elderly and their integration of foreigners. Currently I, Andreas, is the only one working at Elderlearn. I am however sitting in offices with other start-ups with whom I always have lunch with. I find lunch to be a crucial part of the day and always take at least half an hour free to eat and talk with the others in the office.I love playing board games, eating good food and meeting new people. If you join the team you will be a big part of shaping the office culture, and I will look very much forward to finding my first colleague.Since I am moving to another start-up office soon, the below images show some of the foreigners and elderly I have introduced to each other.
