NoviPel

NoviPel (2014) is a MedTech company with the aim of treating urinary incontinence (UI). An estimated 10% of all women, i.e. more than 300,000 women in Denmark, suffer from UI. The condition is still widely considered a taboo and has no effective treatment today. Sundhedsstyrelsen recommends the following treatments by order of effectiveness: Pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT); pharmacological therapy; and surgery. Surgery, used as a last resort solution, is expensive and has poor response rates. Pharmacological therapy has shown slightly better response rates but is accompanied by non-negligible side-effects. PFMT is a highly individual and specialized procedure. Done correctly it is a cheap, non-invasive procedure void of side-effects. There is a proven need for a tool to allow healthcare practitioners (HCPs) to standardize treatment, teach correct exercises, and collect data accurately. Our device is a non-invasive vaginal probe, offering users a new, data-driven best practice of supervised PFMT, AI nudging to improve adherence and patient education. The fully automated method optimizes existing treatment methods and improves HCP’s in their workflow. Our device can directly decrease existing UI related health economic costs by mitigating expenses from diapers and surgery-related expenses.

Skorens.dk

Skorens.dk was founded in Aarhus in 2017. It was founded by two friends, who both wanted to create an easy-to-use website, which sells sneaker care products. The idea was to always have a small sortiment of sneaker products, so it would be easier for the consumer, to find the products they need. Other than that good customer service, was also a key element of the business.

Nærwear ApS

Nærwear develops physical, kinesthetic products that change how we relate to time. Time is visible everywhere — on our phones, computers, cars and watches — yet most of us experience it as pressure, distraction or background noise. Digital tools optimize productivity, but they rarely create awareness. We are solving the problem of disconnection from time. Instead of adding another screen, we remove it. Instead of constant information, we design intentional physical interaction. Our products make time tangible through touch and minimal interfaces, helping people become aware of how they spend their time rather than just tracking it. Our first product, STUND, is a screen-free, tactile timepiece. It does not compete with smartwatches; it offers an alternative. More physical products are in development, all built around the same principle: time should be felt, not just measured. We believe the future of meaningful hardware is not more digital noise, but better physical experiences.

Nordsea Energy

My startup is in the planning stage and aims to deploy scalable solar-hybrid mini-grids—using technology of Nordic origin—to provide reliable, affordable clean energy to general hospitals across Sub-Saharan Africa. Hospitals widely suffer from unreliable electricity (only ~50% have consistent access per WHO data), leading to frequent blackouts, costly diesel dependence, and life-threatening interruptions to surgeries, emergencies, diagnostics, labs, and refrigeration.The venture targets massive untapped demand in a high-priority healthcare sector, with stable anchor revenue from hospitals, diesel cost savings, falling component costs, supportive policies, and non-binding government agreements in select countries to facilitate rollout—creating very profitable scaling alongside major social/environmental impact for uninterrupted lifesaving operations.Actively exploring feasibility, partnerships, and pilots. Dimmi is an early-stage Danish legaltech SaaS start-up revolutionising how European companies navigate the complexities of immigration law across the European Union. Companies across Europe are increasingly in need of international labour and talent. Yet navigating immigration law and obtaining work permits is highly challenging and costly for companies of all sizes. Combining unique research and legal insight into migration law and global mobility with augmented retrieval technology, Dimmi is building the first-ever digital infrastructure for end-to-end case handling of international hires, making legal immigration compliance fast, easy, and cost-predictable. From guiding users through the most viable visa track, deadlines, and documentation requirements, Dimmi empowers companies to file compliant applications to the authorities faster, cheaper and with higher rates of compliance. Dimmi is a spin-out company pioneered by a research project conducted by research conducted at the University of Copenhagen, Center of Excellence for Global Mobility Law by Dr Christian Prener with aim of resolving the major legal and financial bottlenecks that European companies face when hiring candidates from outside of the EU. The project is funded by Lighthouse, University of Copenhagen’s innovation centre and currently based at the University of Copenhagen. We are in search of a co-founding CTO to lead the development of the technical platform in collaboration with the Alexandra Institute. Our engine is built using advanced machine learning and analytics of investor behaviour to develop a personalized algorithm tailored to meet the criteria of each investor.
