TEDxFrederiksberg

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxFrederiksberg, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxFrederiksberg event, live TEDx speakers and TEDTalks videos combine to spark deep discussion and connection in our local community of Frederiksberg. While TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program individual, TEDx event like ours, are self-organized.

Phinder

1: Short description (the pitch) Phinder is developing a software solution to help companies to gain control of their data and comply with GDPR with a unique combination of intelligence technologies. 2: The What: What are you solving + more in depth details “Unstrucutred personal data is one of the largest barriers for achieving GDPR compliance” (Partner, large danish law firm). To achieve GDPR compliance an organisation must have a complete overview of and control of the personal data which they control. This is often done in an ineffective manner with manual processes. Unstructured personal data is often generated ad-hoc and stored randomly across a wide variety of IT systems. Very often this creates large amounts of non-compliant personal data and hinder organisations responding to access and delete request and achieving a GDPR compliance. 3: The How: Describe how your startup is solving this Phinder Compliance Center is “plug and play” and supports images, text documents, videos and e-mails. We aim to provide the customer with a simple result which quickly give them an overview and clear understanding of how to improve their compliance level. The software solution leverages a unique combination of artificial intelligence technologies such as facial recognition, face detection, OCR, NLP and propriety algorithms to identify personal data in images, videos, text documents and e-mails across wide variety of data sources, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Teams, Exchange and SharePoint. 4: The Why: What motivated you to get started Let us know what fired your spark. How did you become aware of the problem you're working to solve? What motivated you to quit your day job to focus on your entrepreneurial ambitions? In essence, why are you doing this? “Automated data compliance, keeping privacy private” is a mantra which drives Phinder. We want to leverage innovative and technical solution to enhance privacy for the individual. We believe that the way to achieve it, is to help organisations reduce costs and increase efficiency for their compliance processes, and becoming more transparent for their employees, customers and the world the operate within.

Goroom is the first real estate site that is free to use. Home seeker can contact landlords for free as much as they want.

At Copenhagen Trackers we develop affordable GPS trackers for consumers and businesses. We help regular people keep track of their bikes, cars, boats, Soundbokses, and many other things and we allow businesses to keep track of their valuable assets. We were founded in 2016 and launched our first product line in 2018. Today, we have sold more than 45,000 devices to +28,000 users, with an ambition to cross 1,000,000 devices sold by 2025.

Finematter

Finematter is the new online destination for fine designer jewellery, connecting jewellery designers and consumers across the globe. With offices in London and Copenhagen, Finematter has its roots in Scandinavian design with a global outlook. We have Pernille Teisbæk on board as Creative Advisor (+1M IG followers, model, author, influencer, etc.), are investor-backed with $2 million, and have been dubbed the new Farfetch for fine jewellery by global publications like The New York Times, Financial Times, British Vogue and The Sunday Times. We’ve partnered with renowned jewellery designers from across the world such as Repossi, Charlotte Chesnais, Delfina Delettrez, Alighieri, Wwake and CVC Stones and have launched authenticated vintage jewellery from houses such as Chanel, Dior and Celine.

We buy our coffee direct from the farmers. We only buy Specialtycoffee grown without any peticides. We have a headquarter in Brazil from where we also make education for the farmers. Today we have a danish and a german webshop, cafees and shops in Denmark, Germany and Italy. We have our own roasterys and warehouse. We have a subscriberservice for a new coffee every month, and we sell to offices, cafees and restaurants who want to serve good sustainable coffee.

A new startup focusing on developing professional applications for handheld test and measurement instruments, to be used in the field or mobile work settings. The team has been in the space for some years, and has extensive knowledge of design, manufacturing, and integration of test equipment with software applications and cloud solutions. We want to increase the efficiency of the work that is being done with these tools, and to embed handheld tools with expert knowledge.

Tubus Technology ApS

Tubus Technology ApS is an innovative start-up business that works within ideation, innovation and product development. We enforce self-empowerment and independence by developing products that are designed to make a difference for people with physical limitations. We work with the entire process from idea generation and product development to market validation and production development. We are currently in the stage of making international market validation and development for our first product TubusOne. TubusOne is a medical device class 1 product that holds a CE mark. It is a mechanical device for people with upper limb limitations and works by sipping and puffing into a tube (hence the name TubusOne). The tube contains a piston function that works like a finger on touchscreen devices when it is activated by a puff from the mouth. TubusOne is a prolonged finger used for navigation on touchscreen devices.

Our first product is a Marketplace salon App that will connect users to salons. Moreover, will open new opportunities for start-ups, small, medium and bigger salons. When we surveyed the market, we see the great need of such an app that allows people to book their appointments with salons based on their performance, price, availability, with just 1 click and give people wider choice to choose the best stylist. As a company, we took this challenge to enter into Nordic Market .because we believe in our idea and we believe that we as a company can grow from smaller size to medium size company in no far future. For the salons, it will be perfect platform that provides them everything related to their business in just an App. To see the performance of their salon as a whole and track loop holes, and make strategy based on the data and improve the performance. Put great offers through our great marketing tools and get more leads and more customers. Be connected and manage their business wherever they are in the world. Salons would be our paid customers by using our subscription model. Whereas for the general user the app will be for free to use. Our main target audience will be salons but at the same time, our target group will be all general users from all forms of life (female, males young, old).
