Appen blev oprindeligt udviklet til kræftpatienter på baggrund af erfaringer som sygeplejerske, men understøtter i dag også diagnoser som migræne, diabetes og hjerte-kar-sygdomme. Mange patienter føler sig alene imellem behandlingerne og savner nogen, der virkelig forstår deres situation. Sundhedsvæsenet har sjældent ressourcer til at tilbyde kontinuerlig følelsesmæssig støtte. Det efterlader mange uden den støtte, de har brug for i hverdagen, og det påvirker både livskvalitet, tryghed og deres mulighed for at mestre sygdomsforløbet.
