Culmas

Work at Culmas is shaped around our coding cycles. They are around 4 weeks. They start with a kick-off, an improv class for the whole company and training sessions on any topics! Every two weeks, we also meet to discuss our processes and our performances. Those rituals are made to include everyone at Culmas and are important to us. Culmas is spawned out of the Improv Comedy Copenhagen Theatre. We value creativity and humor highly and we’re continuously striving to make the office a place full of motivation where ideas and inputs are welcome.

SellersPoint

We are SellersPoint, a Danish communication and training platform targeted retail businesses with the vision of taking customer service to the next level. 94% of all companies within retail agree that investing in product and sales training is very important in improving customer satisfaction and achieving financial results. However, while product knowledge is one of the core selling points of brick-and-mortar stores, they seldomly have the resources to train employees in every new product. SellersPoint is a multisided platform for suppliers to deliver e-learning content, training sellers in promoting their product, while retailers receive a tool for educating, motivating, and increasing the performance of their employees. Key to the platform is the connection between supplier and retailer, ensuring a constant flow of new material. Currently, it is not feasible for suppliers to create proprietary systems, as they are unable to provide enough content to justify the costs of such systems. By creating a platform for all suppliers, SellersPoint reduces the cost of each individual supplier and retailer, while maximizing value. Our two-sided platform is based on two SaaS revenue streams. Suppliers and retailers. For retailers we offer a free version that includes access to all supplier content without limits! Because of the free version suppliers will refer related retailers to the platform and vice versa, to improve their value of the product. The team consists of 5 dedicated people working from our office in Aalborg Central. We recently closed a 7 digit investment round and are in the process of scaling the business! Are you eager to join the journey?

Pepbercorn

Pepbercorn is developing a stockphoto portal to help businesses and blog owners and whoever might need it solve the need for professional photos with pay per photo concept instead of a subscription. The motivation for the project comes from a desire to help companies and others with images where the user rights have been secured and which are easier to deal with than common similar services, as there is no ongoing subscription.

Parent

Parent is an end-to-end childcare communication and management solution for the early years centers. Early childhood years are a crucial phase in the development of children into mature, responsible, and well-rounded individuals. Yet, a large majority of the childcare centers, nurseries, and preschools continue to plough through mountains of paperwork and rely on outdated tools like spreadsheets, emails, and text messages for their routine operations. Even parents often have to jump through hoops to get the information they need from the educators. All this time, which is wasted on obsolete systems, could instead be directed towards the education and development of children.

Student Survival Guide

Student Survival Guide is a community-driven project that is gathering in one platform all important information about university life in a foreign country. Students can also find tips from former students, learn more about daily life in the new country, and discover local gems, only other students know about. We are also running a weekly live broadcast where students can engage in a conversation about current events in the country and the world. We provide people with information that is crucial to a successful and happy life in Denmark. And we make sure that the information is correct, easy to understand, and actionable. We are making sure that we include the community, answer questions that people are asking, and touch on topics, which most other publicly funded organizations cannot. After a successful year on the market, we have learned how to communicate key information in an effective way, either through videos, articles or live streams. After our platform grew, we understood from peoples feedback that they needed a strong sense of community. Therefore, we are organizing weekly meetings in Aarhus, where all like-minded students can meet and work together on common goals. We have developed the project to it’s near full-market potential. We are present on all key platforms where the target group is and we have established an organizational structure that is recruiting more members. We are technologically capable to execute large projects and collaborations. We are part of AU Incubator since 2019, where we have held conversations with startup advisors. Consequently, we are using AU Incubator as a meeting point for the community that builds Student Survival Guide. Student Survival Guide is run by Michael Mares and Jaroslav Vyhnak, both 24 year old Master’s Degree Students in Economics and Business Administration at Aarhus University in Denmark. However, Student Survival Guide is a community-run project where a key asset are the contributors that write and share their knowledge. The contributor can be anyone with experience of the Danish way of life and schooling. So far, SSG has had more than 20 contributors. All of the contributors are bachelor’s/master’s degree students from international backgrounds. Contributors form teams that are responsible for various areas of the project, such as blogging, social media, video editing, news research and community management. All of the teams have their respective managers, who collaborate together to ensure proper project development. We have so far been able to reach more than 100,000 people through social media, gained more than 5,000+ followers on social media and got our videos viewed more than 43,000 times. On top of this, more than 10,000 students have already read our blogs and ‘survival guides’ to Denmark, on our website. We got the project to the point where many of the students prefer to contact us with their questions rather than relying on their universities or other ‘resourceful’ institutions.
