FiltraCare is developing an innovative cigarette filter collection and recycling system to help cities and local communities tackle the international growing problem of cigarette waste. The mision is to provide an efficient, eco-friendly way to collect, store, and recycle cigarette filters, transforming a harmful pollutant into a valuable resource while reducing environmental damage caused by microplastics. Cigarette filters are the most common form of litter globally, contributing heavily to environmental pollution. They break down into microplastics that harm marine life and biodiversity. FiltraCare aims to address this problem by creating a scalable system that allows cities and businesses to collect and recycle cigarette filters before they are littered in landfills or oceans. The problem is widespread, affecting urban areas, natural environments, and public spaces worldwide, with billions of filters discarded every year. At FiltraCare, I have developed custom cigarette filter collection devices designed for urban environments and public spaces. These ashtrays will in the future collect used filters, which will be stored in airtight containers to prevent contamination. Filters will be sent to our recycling partner, who recycles them. It is the goal for FiltraCare to be able to recycle cigarette filters internally. Currently I am in the process of realising the pilot project in collaboration with local businesses and city authorities that are helping me fine-tune the logistics and scaling potential. By integrating this solution into existing urban infrastructures, we offer a seamless process for reducing cigarette filter waste. The idea for FiltraCare came when I realized how ubiquitous and damaging cigarette filters are to our environment. Walking through city streets, parks, and beaches, I saw the big amount of cigarette waste and understood its long-term impact on ecosystems. This prompted me to dive into research, learning that cigarette filters are composed of non-biodegradable materials that release microplastics into nature. Fueled by a passion for environmental sustainability and innovation, I decided to focus all my energy on creating a solution to this pressing problem, believing that even small changes in waste management can lead to big environmental improvements.

Hygeia Sense develops next-generation biosecurity platform that revolutionises virus detection and response. We allow governments to make rapid decisions based on actual virus outbreak data. WHAT ARE WE DOING? We are creating a revolutionary device for detecting airborne viruses from the air and a platform allowing for visualisations and real time notifications about outbreaks. We create a much cheaper and faster detection to not let the COVID-19 events happen again. We decrease the time of outbreak detection >30 times and detection price >10 times. WHY ARE WE DOING IT? In recent years there have been a rapid advancement in SynBio that outpaces the regulatory and monitoring frameworks. This leads to inability of implementation of clear safety rules for virus research and national security which in turn poses a large threat of uncontrolled and/or accidental misuse of pathogens. We lack of necessary tools to predict and manage virus outbreaks and information.

Our startup, Facecheck, addresses the increasing need for innovative solutions in health monitoring. We have a vision to develop a unique platform in the form of an app that enables individuals to digitally measure their body fat percentage using their camera. I (Victor) am looking for a CO-Founder for this startup. I am searching for someone that has experiance with software development, and thats specializing in machine learning. This idea is being realized through extensive data collection, where we have test subjects stand on a health machine that measures their body fat percentage. We then record this and other relevant data while simultaneously taking a picture of the person's face. From there, the vision is to train a neural network using this data. Through facial scanning, it can provide a qualified estimate of the body fat percentage. We are currently actively engaged in this data collection process and anticipate having enough data for a prototype soon. Regarding the market, we have evidence of its existence and interest in our product. We have been in discussions with a fitness chain that has shown interest in our product, which serves as proof of concept. They recognize the potential of our technology to enhance their customers' health monitoring experience. Once we have a prototype in place, we plan to reach out to them with a Letter of Intent (LOI), with the purpose of having them sign on to test our product when it is fully developed. Læsk is out to challenge the soda industry by offering fermented soft drinks that has less sugar and less calories than conventional sodas. Through fermentation and being selective with ingrediens, we create well-balanced drinks without alcohol that are less sweet. The kombucha category is fairly new and despite Læsk being the leading brand in Denmark, represented in 7Eleven, Coop and lots of restaurants and cafes across the country, there's still a lot of customer education to be made. It is a fun journey and we are driven by the opportunity to get people to make better choices for themselves. Founder Line started Læsk because she thought the soda category was boring and drinks were too sweet. Cheers to a healthier soda!
