Folk Kombucha

Are you ready to join a journey of fermentation with Folk Kombucha? Behind the name Folk lies a vision of creating something that brings people together. Located in the heart of Kødbyen, our small but passionate team is dedicated to crafting uncompromising, living kombucha. We've built a brewery universe from the ground up in the heart of the city, in a space where people can gather and learn about unpasteurized kombucha on a larger scale, while we continue learning ourselves. That’s also why every aspect of Folk is done in-house - from fermenting, bottling, and lab testing, to designing our own labels and visuals. Rather than outsourcing, we are becoming experts in our craft, evolving every day and continually refining our understanding of how to ferment the best possible kombucha. It's a process that only improves with the experience we gain. We use only organic ingredients with flavors inspired from what grows in the Nordic nature around us and let alchemy meet science. Each bottle undergoes a weeks fermentation process, making us a true slow drink in both the soft drink and non-alcoholic segments. We combine flavor, tradition, and health in a product where no detail is overlooked. When you step through the doors of our brewery, you're joining a team of passion. We are driven to build a remarkable brand by thinking, creating, and executing at an ambitious level. As a cooperative workplace, we carry an open and dialogue-based management style, where everyone lends a hand and is part of an informal environment. We are a very small team and therefore need someone to join, that is ready to set the bar very high and take pride in executing at the level we uphold at Folk.

Project Iceman

Project Iceman is an ambitious project that sets out to prove that #limitationsareonlyperceptions by setting up the first ever, World Record breaking Ironman distance triathlon in Antarctica, the Iceman. The Iceman is the first in a series of events that will put focus on mental health. The project was officially initiated in June 2018 and is the first step of establishing The Iceman Foundation, an organization that will establish and promote 'Mental Empowerment' for all.  We’re a tightly knitted group of people with a clear philosophy of life: Limitations are only perceptions. This is evident in everything we do and how we work. That means we go with what we find interesting and valuable to our cause. If it’s cool, fun, and worthwhile, we spend time testing and potentially going with it. We believe we can do whatever we set our minds to, which is why we’re always up for trying out an idea - no matter how ‘crazy’ it is.In practice this is carried out in close collaboration with one another. Everyone who wants to contribute are inviter to take part, but we each take responsibility of the things we find most interesting. It’s a wealth of freedom but it also requires courage, discipline, and a positive attitude. We’re a sporty group and like to stay active. Whether you’re into bikini, running, swimming, fitness, football, badminton, squash, paddle tennis, or any other sport, we’re happy to go and have fun with it together. This doesn’t exclude us from having the celebratory beer once in a while when we achieve some of our milestones - even though many think completing an Ironman requires a 100% clean diet and full focus on training (which is not necessarily the case, we eat homemade pizza and watch movies every Sunday everning!). We’re open, free, happy and positive. We encourage creativity and allow ourselves to do what we find most interesting.

Go Dogo

Go Dogo offers deep-tech products that help dog parents keep their dogs mentally healthy. Dogs need mental stimulation to stay healthy. The stimulation should be based on both owner-facilitated and owner-independent challenges. The owner-facilitated mental stimulation (different types of training) is critically important, as it is not just mental stimulation - it builds and continuously strengthens the human-dog bond. Solving owner-independent challenges on the other hand is extremely important because it boosts the dog's self esteem and self confidence, which is crucial in order to prevent many behaviour problems, such as insecurity, anxiety, aggression, in-door soiling, excessive barking/whining, destructive behavior and canine depression. Available solutions that may provide owner-independent mental workout are low-tech products made out of wood, plastic, cloth or a combination. They are typically about moving or pushing or clawing at something to find or release a hidden treat. They are not giving any instructions or feedback and they have no progression - so they are usually either too easy or too difficult. If too easy, the dog does not get a whole lot of mental workout - and if too difficult the dog tends to give up fast, and hence does still not get the desired mental workout. The solution is our Go Dogo! Go Dogo uses the home TV to give the needed instructions and feedback and it dispenses treats as rewards when the dog does an exercise correct - or in some situations to support the motivation to keep trying. Computer vision enables Go Dogo to recognise the dogs movements, and the intelligent software adapts to each dog individually and only gradually increases the level of difficulty to ensure adequate mental stimulation. Please, go visit our home page to see some of our videos of dogs playing Go Dogo.
