We believe it should be easy and convenient to be informed about current affairs and to get different perspectives from different media. Therefore, we want to provide a nice and attractive gateway to all the great journalism out there. We really believe that audio news is the future, because it respects people’s time and enables us to do the things we love while also getting up to date. Our office is situated in Copenhagen. What is the product? 24syv is an innovative news platform run by the Danish tech startup Listen to News ApS. The app collects audio content from a range of news media and structures it so the news listener can get a quick and thorough news briefing - on demand - in just 10 minutes. After the news briefing, the news listener is presented with podcast clip from programs with in-depth knowledge about current topics that matter to the news listener. In this way, the news listener can become completely up to date and ready to talk about current affairs with friends, family and colleagues just by listening to listen to news on their way to work.

OYISI

Company Description: Oyisi Sushi Oyisi Sushi is a sushi restaurant chain originating in the South Jutland region of Denmark (Aabenraa). Since its founding in 2011, the company has grown from a simple takeaway outlet into a multi‑location brand with branches in Aabenraa, Haderslev, Kalundborg, Sønderborg, Viby J, Esbjerg, and more. The problem we are solving: In Denmark, consumer demand for high‑quality, freshly prepared sushi and Japanese cuisine continues to grow. However, the market faces two major pain points: first, a homogenisation of dining experiences – many restaurants lack memorable touches that set them apart; second, a widespread labour shortage that undermines service efficiency and quality assurance. Why we are solving this problem: We firmly believe that it is entirely feasible to offer a Japanese dining experience in Denmark that is fun, high‑quality, and exceptional value for money. Our core innovation lies in introducing robot‑assisted serving. This not only alleviates the service bottlenecks caused by staff shortages, but also creates a novel and engaging dining atmosphere that especially appeals to families and younger customers. At the same time, our "Sushi Ad Libitum" (all‑you‑can‑eat) model allows guests to enjoy unlimited freshly made sushi and hot dishes at a reasonable price, directly addressing the consumer pain point that "high quality equals high prices". Our achievements and mission: Our model has proven itself in the market – for example, our Aabenraa location generated a gross profit of DKK 3,561,800 in 2024 with a return on equity (ROE) of 15%, demonstrating solid profitability and financial stability. Our mission is to redefine the sushi dining experience in Denmark – by combining technology with great food, we create value that exceeds customer expectations, while also fostering a more efficient and enjoyable work environment for our employees.

Fliprworld

Fliprworld is a personal story universe for families with kids aged 5-10. The child, their siblings, and even the family pet are always the same recurring characters, appearing in story after story, complete with text, illustrations, and narration, ready in under 2 minutes. The problem: parents want to give their kids a rich, imaginative storytime, but by evening they're out of ideas. The same three books get read again and again, or the ritual gets replaced by a screen. Tools like ChatGPT technically let you generate a story, but they hand the work back to the parent: write a good prompt, judge if it's age-appropriate, find an image, read it aloud yourself. That's not less work, it's a new kind of work. Flipr removes that work entirely. A parent (or child) types what they feel like today, a jungle adventure, a school problem turned into a story, a birthday surprise, and Flipr turns it into a complete, age-appropriate story with pictures and narration in under 2 minutes. No prompting skills required, no editing, no illustrating. What makes Fliprworld different isn't a single good story, it's the universe. The child, siblings, and pet are always the same recurring characters, whichever new adventure gets created. Each story stands on its own, there's no plot to keep track of or catch up on, but the cast is always familiar. So kids don't just get a random story, they get themselves and their family showing up, again and again, in whatever world they dream up that day. Why we're building this: the target parent isn't anti-screen, they're time-poor. They already value the ritual of story time and want their kids engaged rather than passively consuming content, but they don't have the bandwidth to be a creative director every single night. Fliprworld gives them that ritual back without the labor, and gives kids something screen-based that is genuinely productive: reading, listening, imagining, not scrolling. We see this going beyond bedtime. The same personal universe works for long car rides, waiting rooms, or a rainy Sunday afternoon, any moment where a parent needs to hand their child something engaging that also feels good to hand over. Our first market is the Nordics (Denmark, Norway, Sweden), where storytime is a deeply held ritual and parents are screen-time conscious but not screen-time averse, making them the ideal early adopters before we expand further.
