True Energy offers a smart charging app to our end users so they can register their car or charger and have it start or stop charging based on the hour of day and the electricity price, so the user optimizes their charging to be cheapest. The service is free of charge for the end user because they participate in our flexibility pool where the power companies can buy offsetting of the consumption if the grid is overloaded or production is expensive. We use Google Workspace, GitLab as code repo, Jira for our agile project management, and Slack for chat. We have a policy of 100% line coverage for unit tests, and want to support continuous delivery. We focus on collaboration and an open, inclusive work environment. MoveByBike is an urban logistics company. We deliver products by electric cargo bikes, focused on 'last mile logistics.' We specialise in the food and subscription sectors, however with our large bikes we can move many products within any industry. At Hybird, we operate at the intersection of hardware and software where we are bringing the electrical panel online and transforming it into a data platform. NitroVolt is decarbonizing nitrogen-based fertilizer production and making the agricultural sector more resilient with a novel production process. Commercial ammonia production supports 40-50% of the agricultural industry as a nitrogen-based fertilizer. But current ammonia production is not sustainable, releasing over 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions during production facilities and further emissions during transportation to the end user, farmers. NitroVolt offers a local ammonia production solution that gives farmers the ability to produce their own nitrogen-based fertilizer. The only inputs required by NitroVolt’s container-sized systems are air, water, and electricity, enabling production of sustainable ammonia directly at farms. NitroVolt’s patented electrochemical Nitrolyzer unit can make ammonia on-demand with intermittent renewable energy sources. With their technology, NitroVolt aims to decarbonize nitrogen-based fertilizer production one farm at a time, cut the logistic costs of distributing fertilizer, and make the agricultural sector more resilient to external factors.

That is why our mission is to leverage the power of systems innovation to transform whole places, industries, and value chains by 2030, working across sectors to develop and scale ambitious, mission-led programmes. Established in 2010 and headquartered in Amsterdam, we orchestrate a community of more than 200 organisations including large corporations and SMEs, municipal and regional governments, universities, and research institutes, as well as non-governmental organisations and uncommon actors. Historically, we have been funded by our founder and core funder, the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), but we are currently transitioning to a multi-funder model. EIT Climate-KIC colleagues are based in one of our local offices across Europe or work remotely from home based in one of the countries where we have a branch. We meet at our local offices to exchange and connect and use online collaboration tools work with each other and with our Community. On occasion, we meet in-person as teams, and once per year as an organisation.
