Maker is a member-based non-profit association founded in 2015 as a platform for the maker movement in Denmark and the Nordics. Since then, we've evolved from a traditional makerspace into an open lab and community central for physical entrepreneurs, startups and independent creatives. We develop, share and learn together with our members and across projects in the EU, in Denmark and in the Baltic Sea Region. Together with research institutions, companies, makerspaces and governments, we focus on sustainability and physical entrepreneurship; from open-source hardware to distributed design, aiming to transition makerspaces into circular spaces and develop sustainable practices for recycling materials, local production, and more.

GRØNBLÅ wants to create a true circular economy: First and foremost is the use of proven and certified bioplastics for packaging and accessories. A take-back program to ensure that the bio-compostable material is collected without being mixed with other material and composted in special facilities. In addition, GRØNBLÅ is working intensively with renowned research partners to further optimize the process of composting using bacteria and enzymes. Our goal is to offer high-performance bio-compostable materials and create true closed-loop solutions where the material is not discarded after use but returned to nature in an environmentally friendly way.

Gate2Horizon is a new company, which leverages the experience of its employees in the domain of so-called "exploitation of project results" in large EU-funded Research & Innovation projects (under the Horizon Europe - Pillar II funding programme). We work across diverse sectors such as Bioeconomy, Circular Economy, Mining, Aquaculture, and Health Policy. As part of the consortium in the EU projects, we assist project partners in the exploitation of their project results with a hands-on approach and tools to make sure the results coming out of the project are "exploited" at the end of the project's lifetime, that is "made us of to tackle societal problems, in policymaking or for commercial purposes". In the initial phase, we identify and characterize results and their potential owners. We thereafter monitor them and select the ones with the most potential, which we nurture throughout the project lifetime with the help of our tools and services.​ We do it through: - conducting workshops on different commercial and entrepreneurial topics - holding individual coaching sessions with project partners - using credible methodologies such as the Value Proposition, Business Model Canvas, EC's Innovation Radar In a nutshell, we exploit the project results and help them on their journey towards market-ready and standalone businesses or we connect them to partners that can help with further research and development toward market readiness.

Klimakampen er en start-up, der laver klimakampagner for arbejdspladser, folkeskoler og gymnasier. I hold dyster ansatte og elever om at få klimavenlige vaner. Lidt en "Vi Cykler Til Arbejde", bare med klima. Konkurrencen varer typisk 4 uger og faciliteres i vores egen app. Her vælger man hvilke pointgivende aktiviteter man har udført og ser statistik for hvordan man klarer sig og hvor meget CO2 man har sparet. While our eyes is on the fourth industrial revolution, we want to be part of the energy revolution and help to reduce the CO2 footprint in every single workplace. we move towards greener workplace by a software solution on energy optimization of dynamic mechanical systems (DMS). Our target industry for now is ventilation systems so called as HVAC for office building. The product is a software solution that monitors and optimizes energy consumption of HVACs. But why HVACs? Ventilations are installed in almost all office and industrial buildings. Only in Denmark, 12 M m2 of area is dedicated to offices and buildings. This corresponds to a huge energy consumption by HVACs (about 40% of total electrical energy consumption of a building and funny enough buildings are responsible for almost half of energy consumption of Denmark in a year). Despite of HVACs simplicity from system point of view, they are very complicated and confusing for the HVAC owners. The energy consumption and waste energy is not clear. Therefore, energy optimization becomes a long shot. 4i4’s product is solving these issues and brings values for the HVAC owners by peace of mind and valuable insight on how to optimize the energy and save on CO2 emission.
