Girls' education is an incredibly powerful climate solution due to its stong relationship with child marriage prevention and subsequent delayed motherhood; impacting population growth and lowering consumption-based emissions. 130 million girls in the world's poorest and most climate-vulnerable communities are effectively excluded from education due to poverty. Humanitarian organizations in low-income countries constantly struggle to fundraise and are never able to fully meet the needs of the most marginalized. SoGreen is a startup with a big heart and an even bigger ambition: A world where all girls realise their right to education and climate justice is placed at the heart of all climate action. In collaboration with leading scientists at renowned European research institutions in the field of demography and climate science,* SoGreen has developed a methodology to quantify the climate impact of girls' education in tonnes CO2-equivalent avoided. This allows for the generation of carbon credits (1 ton = 1 carbon credit) which can be sold on the international carbon market to channel climate finance to girls' education. In partnership with FAWEZA, a leading pan-African NGO focusing on girls' education, SoGreen's pilot project is being implemented in Zambia. Over the coming 5 years, the project will ensure a full secondary education for 180 marginalized girls. All carbon credits generated by the project have been sold ex ante to over 30 companies that have ambitious sustainability strategies, which allow for the use of carbon credits in addition to reducing their own emissions. SoGreen aims to be the provider of the worlds most popular carbon credits within the next 5 years; resulting in a powerful reduction in emissions and a massive increase in educational attainment - a basic human right. *International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in Germany, and The Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (WIC) in Austria.

Established in 2010 and headquartered in Amsterdam, we orchestrate a community of more than 200 organisations including large corporations and SMEs, municipal and regional governments, universities, and research institutes, as well as non-governmental organisations and uncommon actors. Historically, we have been funded by our founder and core funder, the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), but we are currently transitioning to a multi-funder model. EIT Climate-KIC colleagues are based in one of our local offices across Europe or work remotely from home based in one of the countries where we have a branch. We meet at our local offices to exchange and connect and use online collaboration tools work with each other and with our Community. Smartpumps is a green company determined to reduce co2 emissions from private homes and larger building blocks. We sell and install heat pumps and the team has been doing so for more than 20 years. Our goal is to make it the obvious and easy choice to chose a heat pump. We do that by a streamlined organisation to keep the cost low while providing the best service on the market. Smartpumps provide service 24/7 all year. Our extended warranty programme covers up to 10 years. All installations are made according to the ISO-9001 standard and is covered by the warranty programme from Dansk Køl og Varme.

LivingBetter skaber værdi for boligforeninger, entreprenører og beboere med sund, naturlig ventilation, som sænker energiforbruget. Vi løser byggeriets udfordringer med dårligt indeklima og for høj tæthed – både i renoveringer og nybyggeri. Vores store mål er at nedbringe udslippet af CO2, gøre det lettere at skabe sunde bygninger og give mennesker et bedre liv. Derfor har vi også udviklet det komplette energi- og indeklimakoncept, LivingBetter, som kombinerer Ventilationsvinduerne med en udsugningsvarmepumpe. Den omdanner energien i den gamle luft til varme og varmt brugsvand. Kernen i Ventilationsvinduet er en temperaturfølsom ventil, som selv justerer luftindtaget uden brug af strøm. LivingBetter er en 100 % danskejet virksomhed. Produktionen samarbejder vi med licenstagere og samarbejdespartnere om i både ind- og udland. LivingBetter og Ventilationsvinduet er præmieret af byggeriets parter for sin dokumenterede energibesparelse og fleksibilitet. Det skete med produktprisen i Det Bæredygtige Element 2016.

UNO econetwork is young startup developing a digital platform to help businesses make corporate sustainability due diligence easy. We are working on a SaaS solution that enables users to account for their own environmental, social and governance related risks, as well as keeping a track on their suppliers'. Through our platform, companies can minimise the need to answer and resend the same information over and over again. To save our planet, it is critical that all businesses act responsibly. However, many companies end up wasting valuable ressources and time on accounting, instead of focusing on what is really important. We wish to help companies reduce the amount of double-work in their sustainability journey, so they can focus on taking action.

With a mission to heal the planet through the people - we create apps that heal people and plant trees as the user's use the apps. We started in 2021 and already have one app available on the stores with users from all around the world and have planted more than 3000 trees! The next app is already on the development phase and we going to plant millions of trees with it. The apps we build are in the field of mindfulness, yoga, healing ,breathwork and personal growth. SilkOcean is a spin-out of Ph.D. projects by students of AAU, DTU, and Chalmers specialized in Power Electronics design and Condition Based Monitoring solutions. Our ideas and designs have been recognized and rewarded by business leaders and innovation sponsors, and foundations. Nabo Farm er et urbant landbrug drevet efter bæredygtige principper. Vi dyrker dild, koriander, fennikel, tallerkensmækker og andet mikrogrønt, som vi leverer til en kundekreds bestående af lokale restauranter og kantiner. Vores kunder er både kvalitets- og miljøbevidste. De kan se værdien i at modtage deres bestilling, senest to timer efter den er høstet. Hverken smag eller næringsværdi går tabt under leveringen, som selvfølgelig foregår med cykelbud. Sådan trækker vi i fællesskab fødevareindustrien i en sundere og mere bæredygtig retning. Det er det, vi forstår ved godt naboskab. Afgrøderne er naturligvis fri for sprøjtegift og genmodifikationer. Deres næringskilder er en nøje udvalgt sammensætning af ilt, mineraler, varme, vand og god musik. Tilsammen har vi mere end 15 år i tech-branchen på bagen. Den erfaring har vi brugt til at udvikle en software, som kan styre planternes omgivelser ned til mindste detalje. Resultatet er sundt og velsmagende bladgrønt. Det synes vi alle har ret til, ligesom enhver by har ret til en Nabo Farm.
