Today’s processes are highly linear: raw materials are extracted, processed into products, used a few times, and then discarded—either incinerated or buried in landfills. We aim to change that. At ARIS, our ultimate goal is to create a world without waste. This means transforming linear processes into circular ones. The first step towards effective recycling is good sorting. We develop scalable and automated solutions using deep learning to recognize and sort waste efficiently. Currently, we are serving our beachhead market—public recycling centers. Here, we assist visitors in correctly sorting their waste, extending the lifespan of materials and reducing the need to extract more raw materials from our limited planet. We are changing the world! Copenhagen Atomics is building the next generation nuclear reactors for the world based on molten salt technology. This provides a cheap and clean energy source that aims to change the energy system in general. A thorium based molten salt reactor is small, efficient, safe and is burning the nuclear waste from current nuclear plants.

The startup is based in the Incubator of DTU, the Danish Technical University in Lyngby. The team will be working to build a solution that solve real world challenges. Taking reporting from data bureaucracy to applied intelligence, Aperitas acts as a central hub for internal CSR data, offers data-driven compliance, risk, and performance management, and makes effortless and concise disclosure possible.

The uMover® is a smart and usability-focused 3-wheel electrical vehicle for transporting people over shorter indoor and outdoor distances (0,5-5 km). It has been developed by us, DTU spinout CJ Company IVS, whom have built the uMover® upon a future mobility concept proposed by Continental AG (CAG). The uMover® targets employees who need to travel frequently within shorter distances, enabling them to become more efficient at work by easing their way of travel and reducing their travel time substantially. The uMover® will be a superior work-environment travel solution, as it – due to its smart design – offers the flexible advantages of walking, but with the similar speed and ease as driving a car or a bike. Drawbacks of the solutions in the market today are high prices, space requirements (especially for cars), no compliance with traffic regulations and laws and poor safety control (limiting the indoor application possibilities). Through cooperation with DTU and CAG we have been able to complete a full proof-of-concept and develop several of the unique mechanical components and are now in the detailing phase of the mechanical and electrical construction for a scale-up of the uMover®.
