CityCharge is a fast growing startup based in Oslo Norway. It was founded in 2018 and is currently receiving support from InsjUIO incubator, and collaborating with Xplorico and other partners. We are launching our product and services to Stockholm Sweden in 2020. CityCharge gives users' mobile phone power on demand through its network of portable power banks, whilst providing venues with a unique marketing tool driving customer flow. Users can find CityCharge stations in their favourite venues, like shops, restaurants and cafes, all over the Nordics. Open the app to find the stations near them. CityCharge’s portable power banks include cables for all types of phones with fast charging service, giving users the freedom to charge on the go. Users can return the power bank to any CityCharge station in the network, from the local cafe to the favourite nightclub. CityCharge's mission is to give users opportunity to be powered and stay connected any time any where, and to turn that need into venues benefits. In short term, we provide power bank sharing service for charging the phone.

At Cellugy, we’re passionate about creating innovative solutions for one of the most pressing challenges of the 21st century: plastic pollution. Our product, EcoFLEXY, is a 100% natural bio-cellulose material produced by the fermentation of surplus sugar with specific microorganisms. The objective is to replace fosil-based plastics and products in a wide range of applications, from packaging to chemicals.

ESEBA, a deep tech startup from DTU, transforms low-quality textile waste into MDF boards without binders or formaldehyde. We offer a sustainable, non-toxic alternative to traditional wood-based panels. Textile waste is a massive and growing problem in Europe – less than 1% is recycled into new products, and most ends up incinerated. At the same time, formaldehyde regulations are tightening, and deforestation pressures are increasing demand for alternatives to virgin wood. ESEBA’s mission is to enable local, circular board production through a scalable, plug-and-produce production line for furniture manufacturers.

Gate2Horizon is a new company, which leverages the experience of its employees in the domain of so-called "exploitation of project results" in large EU-funded Research & Innovation projects (under the Horizon Europe - Pillar II funding programme). We work across diverse sectors such as Bioeconomy, Circular Economy, Mining, Aquaculture, and Health Policy. As part of the consortium in the EU projects, we assist project partners in the exploitation of their project results with a hands-on approach and tools to make sure the results coming out of the project are "exploited" at the end of the project's lifetime, that is "made us of to tackle societal problems, in policymaking or for commercial purposes". In the initial phase, we identify and characterize results and their potential owners. We thereafter monitor them and select the ones with the most potential, which we nurture throughout the project lifetime with the help of our tools and services.​ We do it through: - conducting workshops on different commercial and entrepreneurial topics - holding individual coaching sessions with project partners - using credible methodologies such as the Value Proposition, Business Model Canvas, EC's Innovation Radar In a nutshell, we exploit the project results and help them on their journey towards market-ready and standalone businesses or we connect them to partners that can help with further research and development toward market readiness.

Vi dyrker dild, koriander, fennikel, tallerkensmækker og andet mikrogrønt, som vi leverer til en kundekreds bestående af lokale restauranter og kantiner. Vores kunder er både kvalitets- og miljøbevidste. De kan se værdien i at modtage deres bestilling, senest to timer efter den er høstet. Hverken smag eller næringsværdi går tabt under leveringen, som selvfølgelig foregår med cykelbud. Sådan trækker vi i fællesskab fødevareindustrien i en sundere og mere bæredygtig retning. Det er det, vi forstår ved godt naboskab. Afgrøderne er naturligvis fri for sprøjtegift og genmodifikationer. Deres næringskilder er en nøje udvalgt sammensætning af ilt, mineraler, varme, vand og god musik. Tilsammen har vi mere end 15 år i tech-branchen på bagen. Plastic Change en dansk miljøorganisation med et ambitiøst internationalt sigte Vi arbejder hårdt med at knække den stigende kurve over plastikspild. Plastik er overalt – på land og til vands. Tre generationers forbrug af plastik har sat sine spor. Kun en lille del bliver genbrugt eller destrueret. Resten ligger i naturen i hundredvis af år. Vi arbejder for at reducere vores enorme plastikproduktion ved blandt andet at eliminere unødvendig engangsplastik fra vores produkter, ved at sætte bedre rammer for hvordan vi designer produkter til mere genbrug, og det plastik vi ikke kan genbruge, skal vi kunne genanvende. Vi arbejder både på politisk niveau, sammen med befolkningen, i samarbejde med innovationspartnere, på internationalt niveau, sammen med forskere og med at uddanne vores fremtidige generationer om problemet. Enyday is a climate tech company with a full solution for billing of electricity and control of storage in large buildings with collective self-consumption of solar. Today enyday help customers to start and operate energy communities "behind-the-meter" and next step is to share energy with your local district. A customer could fx. be a large residential multi tenant rental building or social housing - all with collective solar PV installation and evt. battery storage.

Who we are Each year in Denmark, over 2 million people upgrade their smartphones, but few have a clear idea of what to do with their previous device. Of course, they could sell it or trade it in, but today these options are primarily perceived as a hassle, a scam, or a waste of time. This results in Danes often having two or more smartphones wasting in a dusty drawer. Our mission to reduce this waste and to make the best use of their potential by providing a transparent, fair, and simple way to ensure that our old technology gets used to its fullest extent. The user can then support sustainable causes through our platform with the value of their used phones. Why do we exist? Used phones are extremely valuable. In fact, every year we estimate that at least one billion kroner worth of used phones enters the market in Denmark alone. On top of this, smartphone production has tremendous environmental and social impacts that are seldom talked about. Making the best use of minerals and labor that has already been put into our phones is the least we can do. Through research, we found that most people do not sell or trade-in their devices today for various reasons. However, over 90% of people responded that they would donate the value that their used phone could be sold for, entirely or in part, to philanthropic causes so long as it was easy and transparent. Therefore, not only are the causes we support genuinely good, but they provide the motivation to awaken a large and growing market. Today there is no platform where this can easily be done. Lokalist aims to fill this gap in the market and be the platform where people and businesses can easily donate all or part of the value of their used technology to support sustainable actions we all want to see more of. What happens to the used phones? The used phones we receive are safely wiped, complying with Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). They then have a 92% chance to be refurbished or harvested for working components. The semi-new phones are sold in markets across the world to be loved by future users. The phones that cannot be refurbished are responsibly recycled, making sure to reuse minerals that are otherwise impactful to mine. Our values As a company, we focus heavily on integrating the Nordic values of transparency, honesty, community, and simplicity into our mission. This is not typical of our competitors in this space. By being active in the carrying-out of the sustainable causes with our partners, and showing our users instantly how their device could support them, we believe we can help make the best use of our e-waste while spreading the love.

We are HEMBOO: an early stage start-up with the vision of making low emissions, renewable materials the norm in construction. Besides fossil fuels, the production of concrete is the worst emitter of CO2 in the world. However it is the most used material within the construction sector. But not for long: climate legislation is about to make concrete a whole lot more expensive, by introducing a CO2 TAX. This leaves the construction companies with a problem as there is no valid sustainable alternative they can use. HEMBOO offers an easy solution: prefabricated walls for new construction made of hemp and bamboo with a reduction of 80% CO2 emitted compared to the traditionally used concrete walls. BUT the construction industry is very conservative and risk-averse. Therefore getting to market is a long journey. We built our first prototype are now preparing for the second one and are gathering data on the needs of our customers. Our aim is to provide a solution similar enough in prefabrication and installation methods, to make the transition from concrete fast and easy. Our element is designed for large scaled production so that we can have the largest impact. Recently we have received a total of 520.000 dkk in soft funding for product development and are participating in multiple startup support programs so it is full speed ahead! The team behind it all: We are a diverse team of three, Elsa Maria Iuliano, Helena Brandt Rejndrup and Michael Hallam. Helena and Elsa graduated as architectural engineers from DTU while Michael is finishing up his studies in design and entrepreneurship. We started HEMBOO because we are all very passionate about making an environmental impact. As a team we have a lot fun together, while still being productive. We emphasize a friendly environment where we help each other even though everyone has individual responsibilities. Currently looking to expand and we want you to be a part of it!
