In a circular business model we upcycle food waste into alternative biodegradable materials as a supplier internationally and in DK. In this way we solve a waste management problem. There’s always an idea you can follow through and test on.  We all have very different competencies but contribute equally in unique ways to the team research. Weekly workshops with Skylab Ignite and Stardust at DTU are where we grow together. We’re also making brainstorming jam sessions after work. NIRAS has built the most incredible space for green tech startups with 5000m2 of office space, storage and production facilities. NIRAS Green Tech Hub is for startups seeking an extraordinary office space with cool meeting rooms in a vibrant, green and colorful environment with great coffee in the café. Startups will also be able to rent large storage spaces, build MVPs and have actual production in the production hall. This is the place where startups, innovative ideas and green engineering specialists meet. By accessing not only the vibrating hub with peer entrepreneurs, but also the best engineers specialised in sustainability with in different industries such as food, beverage, building, energy, infrastructure etc. The co-development and collaboration between startups and NIRAS’ many experts will be the fast track to grow ideas and innovations. Currently 25 startups and scaleups saluting the green transition is reciting in the hub on a daily basis, but we are working with more than 100 startups on an annual basis through our different programs and activities.

Ecobotix offers technology that can leverage pesticide-free crop protection. Ecobotix has developed and patented a unique spreader system for gently, evenly and precisely applying natural enemies (beneficial insects and mites). Clevertrack er til for at gøre det lettere for mellemstore og større virksomheder, med flåder af biler og maskiner, at få datadrevet indsigt, så de kan træffe bedre beslutninger, der gavner både deres forretning og miljøet. Vores teknologi gør det muligt, at kombinere GPS-tracking med datalæsning på tværs af virksomheders forskellige mærker af biler og maskiner - således skal de kun bruge én platform til bl.a. at se deres faktiske forbrug og CO2-aftryk. I 2024 vandt vi REBOOT Klimaprisen, blandt andet fordi vores innovative 'Auto-sluk' funktion til maskiner, som hjælper virksomheder med at reducere deres CO2-udledning med op til 2.74 tons årligt, per maskine.

The uMover® is a smart and usability-focused 3-wheel electrical vehicle for transporting people over shorter indoor and outdoor distances (0,5-5 km). It has been developed by us, DTU spinout CJ Company IVS, whom have built the uMover® upon a future mobility concept proposed by Continental AG (CAG). The uMover® targets employees who need to travel frequently within shorter distances, enabling them to become more efficient at work by easing their way of travel and reducing their travel time substantially. The uMover® will be a superior work-environment travel solution, as it – due to its smart design – offers the flexible advantages of walking, but with the similar speed and ease as driving a car or a bike. Drawbacks of the solutions in the market today are high prices, space requirements (especially for cars), no compliance with traffic regulations and laws and poor safety control (limiting the indoor application possibilities). Through cooperation with DTU and CAG we have been able to complete a full proof-of-concept and develop several of the unique mechanical components and are now in the detailing phase of the mechanical and electrical construction for a scale-up of the uMover®.

evolvT facilitates responsibility for local micro and small e-commerce operators by providing environmentally friendly last-mile delivery solutions. The service includes all delivery aspects from route planning and customer service to a fleet of low tailpipe emissions vehicles. The impact of the industry on the environment is one of the most important drivers of change. In this field, 1 standard diesel van can release around 1.2 metric tons of CO2 every month. The end customers are more sensitive to this impact and more inclined to choose e-commerce operators that are working on decreasing the CO2 emissions of their operations. Meanwhile, efficiency and profitability are still prioritized by the e-commerce operators and overlooking these factors is not an option.
