Most of this packaging is used for food and beverage products and it is an increasingly large environmental challenge. At Cirqle we are driven by our mission to make single-use a thing of the past and make reuse packaging the norm. Reusing packaging reduces the impact, and greatly minimizes the natural resource use of packaging. With our pioneering reuse packaging service and technology platform, we make reuse a reality for companies in the food and beverage industry. Fischer Lighting is a sustainable front-runner who has developed a unique circular business model where waste is transformed into new beautiful lamps that make buildings more sustainable and people healthier. In 2023, Fischer Lighting saved more than 53 tons of discarded lamps from being thrown away, and with the concepts ReUse, ReDesign, and ReCreate, unique lighting solutions are created in a beautiful and industrial design that meets all the requirements of a new lighting fixture. In addition to environmental sustainability, social sustainability is also an important part of the concept. Therefore, all the old lamps are separated and assembled by people on the edge of the labor market in Denmark. At the same time, the lamps are equipped with the latest technology, which, among other things, enables circadian lighting, which can stimulate the production of hormones in our body and create better well-being for people in buildings.

Buildcode is an entrepreneurial eng. company specialized in developing systems for optimizing quality assurance in the construction industry. Our solution SiteMotionis based on day-to-day registrations done with drone and scanning technologies for recording and processing the data related to building informatics that enable to: - minimize errors and deficiencies on the construction site, - improve communication during the construction process,- enhance the overall quality of the building. We have a lot of fun! We work hard to learn and achieve and we face every problem with a solution. You will have the opportunity to get free coffee every day, and Buildcode will provide fresh fruit once a week. We go to lunch around 12:00 pm, you can bring your own food our eat for free at the canteen. We’re placed in two different groups: Our Technical Department and our Marketing/Sales and HR Department. But that’s only where we sit, we work crosswise all-day long.

NitroVolt is decarbonizing nitrogen-based fertilizer production and making the agricultural sector more resilient with a novel production process. Commercial ammonia production supports 40-50% of the agricultural industry as a nitrogen-based fertilizer. But current ammonia production is not sustainable, releasing over 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions during production facilities and further emissions during transportation to the end user, farmers. NitroVolt offers a local ammonia production solution that gives farmers the ability to produce their own nitrogen-based fertilizer. The only inputs required by NitroVolt’s container-sized systems are air, water, and electricity, enabling production of sustainable ammonia directly at farms. NitroVolt’s patented electrochemical Nitrolyzer unit can make ammonia on-demand with intermittent renewable energy sources. With their technology, NitroVolt aims to decarbonize nitrogen-based fertilizer production one farm at a time, cut the logistic costs of distributing fertilizer, and make the agricultural sector more resilient to external factors.

OCEAN IDEASHIP is a non profit organization, based on a broad foundation of collaboration. The quest is to share knowledge about the blue transition and empower blue impact startups. We are making a flagship for the blue transition, and sailing from place to place, we will share knowledge and showcase the possibilities in the blue in the green transition. With a sailing flagship we can create the attention the ocean deserves, and make sure that the blue transition gets the same awareness and acceptance as the green transition have today. By building capacity, knowledge and awareness into the startup ecosystem that supports entrepreneurs, we will secure many more blue impact projects in the future.

Girls' education is an incredibly powerful climate solution due to its stong relationship with child marriage prevention and subsequent delayed motherhood; impacting population growth and lowering consumption-based emissions. 130 million girls in the world's poorest and most climate-vulnerable communities are effectively excluded from education due to poverty. Humanitarian organizations in low-income countries constantly struggle to fundraise and are never able to fully meet the needs of the most marginalized. SoGreen is a startup with a big heart and an even bigger ambition: A world where all girls realise their right to education and climate justice is placed at the heart of all climate action. In collaboration with leading scientists at renowned European research institutions in the field of demography and climate science,* SoGreen has developed a methodology to quantify the climate impact of girls' education in tonnes CO2-equivalent avoided. This allows for the generation of carbon credits (1 ton = 1 carbon credit) which can be sold on the international carbon market to channel climate finance to girls' education. In partnership with FAWEZA, a leading pan-African NGO focusing on girls' education, SoGreen's pilot project is being implemented in Zambia. Over the coming 5 years, the project will ensure a full secondary education for 180 marginalized girls. All carbon credits generated by the project have been sold ex ante to over 30 companies that have ambitious sustainability strategies, which allow for the use of carbon credits in addition to reducing their own emissions. SoGreen aims to be the provider of the worlds most popular carbon credits within the next 5 years; resulting in a powerful reduction in emissions and a massive increase in educational attainment - a basic human right. *International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in Germany, and The Wittgenstein Centre for Demography and Global Human Capital (WIC) in Austria.
