Our product, EcoFLEXY, is a 100% natural bio-cellulose material produced by the fermentation of surplus sugar with specific microorganisms. The objective is to replace fosil-based plastics and products in a wide range of applications, from packaging to chemicals.

At Nextfood, we are reshaping the plant-based food supply chain from farm to fork with large scale indoor farms combined with mini-farms in restaurants, catering, retail etc. Our computer controlled decentralised farm network grows deliciously fresh, locally produced, pesticide-free greens year-round to the benefit of flavour, health and climate. 1 m2 Nextfood farm corresponds to 200 m2 outdoor farm land and saves 98% water, more than 75% fertiliser and electrifies energy consumption. In turn addressing one of humanity’s greatest challenges: A sustainable high quality food supply for a rapidly growing urbanised population.

mellow designs is a circular design and construction company. We specialise in designing indoor and outdoor spaces using upcycled material like euro pallets and scaffolding systems. We have invented unique connection systems that allow us to use material in a modular manner to design and construct temporary infrastructure. We aim to solve the problem of material waste during temporary during infrastructure construction.

UNYA Copenhagen is a volunteer-driven youth organization dedicated to empowering young people to engage with global challenges through the lens of the United Nations’ values and the Sustainable Development Goals. We create an inclusive platform where students and young professionals can learn, collaborate, and take action on issues like climate change, social inequality, peacebuilding, and innovation. We are addressing a clear and growing problem i.e. the disconnect between youth and global institutions. This gap leaves motivated individuals without a channel to apply their energy, creativity, and ideas, while institutions miss out on fresh perspectives and engagement from the very generation that will inherit the future. UNYA Copenhagen bridges this divide by turning global ideals into local action. We organize interactive events, workshops, and panel discussions that make complex global topics accessible and relevant. Our activities are co-created by volunteers from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds who bring their own insights to the table. Through collaboration with universities, NGOs, and public institutions, we connect youth directly with experts and decision-makers, fostering a sense of shared responsibility and agency. Koordinat is a Copenhagen-based start-up building computer vision products for protecting biodiversity and nature. The EU targets of 30% protected nature relies on heavy administrative work related to monitoring and ensuring the nature in fact is protected. We are devoted to building precise AI-systems than can automate and assist with the monitoring of reserved nature. Many people are talking about the smart grid and how we can reach 100% sustainable energy, and avoid global warming getting out of hand, by intelligently balancing the consumption so it fits with the electricity production. At True Energy we're already doing it! True Energy offers a smart charging app to our end users so they can register their car or charger and have it start or stop charging based on the hour of day and the electricity price, so the user optimizes their charging to be cheapest. The service is free of charge for the end user because they participate in our flexibility pool where the power companies can buy offsetting of the consumption if the grid is overloaded or production is expensive. We use Google Workspace, GitLab as code repo, Jira for our agile project management, and Slack for chat. We have a policy of 100% line coverage for unit tests, and want to support continuous delivery. We focus on collaboration and an open, inclusive work environment. Our team is multinational, and the working language is English, so full proficiency is required.. We have team members in several time zones.
