NOON Ventures is a Copenhagen-based early-stage investor established in 2020. We invest in proven transformative technologies with the potential to significantly impact environmental or climate challenges. Our aim is to become the preferred partner for green entrepreneurs, and we do so by limiting our investments to few companies and working day-to-day with each of them – a fundamentally different approach than traditional early-stage investors. We believe that it takes much more than capital for companies to succeed - commercial experience, execution power, access to the right talent, network, and partners to name a few. We typically engage ourselves in all aspects of the business and do real work together with the founders applying the experience of our team, investors, and specialist advisors across mission-critical disciplines from strategy to customer introductions, and financing activities. Green Island is supplying underserved communities with fossil free utility solutions, providing people with not only power, water, heating, and circular waste management, but also local ownership of a future proof source of revenue to help the community transition and develop. Green Island accelerates onboarding and community organizing, project development, data-based risk mitigation, and access to financing. We enter into a long-term relationship with the community doing remote monitoring of the community's new utility solution and managing digital billing of consumers.

We`ve been organising Startup Weekends in Copenhagen for 4 years, educating and inspiring hundreds of people to become entrepreneurs. We were lucky to see it from the first row how #CPHSW helped people get into the entrepreneur mindset and to try new challenges. We always believed that one of strongest forces were the network of people you created during those crazy weekends. This is why we created Startup Weekend Mega: The biggest Startup Weekend ever organised in Europe.  We´re an awesome group of volunteers coming from a wide variety of backgrounds. All of us have their own stories about how we ended up joining the #CPHSW family.  We are proud that we`re 100% voluntarily run organisation and that we created a culture where everybody feels safe to experiment and make their own decisions. Global shipping faces an accelerating tide of climate regulation, from the IMO’s GHG Fuel Intensity targets to FuelEU Maritime and EU ETS. These rules impact everything: fuel costs, asset values, and day-to-day operations. Yet most market players lack the tools and insights to respond; let alone turn compliance into an advantage. NIRAS has built the most incredible space for green tech startups with 5000m2 of office space, storage and production facilities. NIRAS Green Tech Hub is for startups seeking an extraordinary office space with cool meeting rooms in a vibrant, green and colorful environment with great coffee in the café. Startups will also be able to rent large storage spaces, build MVPs and have actual production in the production hall. This is the place where startups, innovative ideas and green engineering specialists meet. By accessing not only the vibrating hub with peer entrepreneurs, but also the best engineers specialised in sustainability with in different industries such as food, beverage, building, energy, infrastructure etc. The co-development and collaboration between startups and NIRAS’ many experts will be the fast track to grow ideas and innovations. Currently 25 startups and scaleups saluting the green transition is reciting in the hub on a daily basis, but we are working with more than 100 startups on an annual basis through our different programs and activities.

Established in 2010 and headquartered in Amsterdam, we orchestrate a community of more than 200 organisations including large corporations and SMEs, municipal and regional governments, universities, and research institutes, as well as non-governmental organisations and uncommon actors. Historically, we have been funded by our founder and core funder, the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), but we are currently transitioning to a multi-funder model. EIT Climate-KIC colleagues are based in one of our local offices across Europe or work remotely from home based in one of the countries where we have a branch.
