Acembee

Acembee is on a mission to bring automation and intelligence to one of the world’s least digitalized industries: construction. Our AI-powered platform tracks activities across construction sites in real-time - replacing manual logging and fragmented data collection with automated, actionable insights. By eliminating spreadsheets, on-site inspections, and follow-up calls, we help contractors save hundreds of hours and make faster, smarter decisions. The result? Lower project costs, reduced CO₂ emissions, and more efficient construction - without adding complexity.

Agoprene AS

Agoprene is a biotech startup based in Oslo and Copenhagen. Agoprene is developing furniture foam from biomass to help the furniture industry reduce their need for petrochemicals. ​ Globally, furniture foam, which is derived from petroleum, accounts for 105 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. One armchair for example, emits an average of 43 kg CO2e, almost half of which is due to furniture foam. ​ Agoprene's foam is completely free of petrochemicals. We believe finding planet-friendly alternatives isn’t a challenge; it’s an opportunity.

Climate-KIC

EIT Climate-KIC (Knowledge and Innovation Community) is Europe’s foremost climate innovation initiative. We understand that keeping global temperature rise below 1.5˚C demands unprecedented change. It requires new social dynamics, ways of doing business, capital flows, policymaking, economic models, and new ways of living. That is why our mission is to leverage the power of systems innovation to transform whole places, industries, and value chains by 2030, working across sectors to develop and scale ambitious, mission-led programmes. Established in 2010 and headquartered in Amsterdam, we orchestrate a community of more than 200 organisations including large corporations and SMEs, municipal and regional governments, universities, and research institutes, as well as non-governmental organisations and uncommon actors. Historically, we have been funded by our founder and core funder, the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), but we are currently transitioning to a multi-funder model. EIT Climate-KIC colleagues are based in one of our local offices across Europe or work remotely from home based in one of the countries where we have a branch. We meet at our local offices to exchange and connect and use online collaboration tools work with each other and with our Community. On occasion, we meet in-person as teams, and once per year as an organisation.

We develop, innovate, produce and deliver scalable waste-based building elements and interior products for the professional built environment. The construction industry account for 40% of all waste generated and is the #1 consumer of raw materials globally. The embedded carbon in building materials account for 11% of global carbon emission. At the same time, global floor area is expected to double by 2060. Sustainable building materials will be key to reducing footprint from the construction industry. We need to change the way we build and focus on materials produced from non-virgin materials. We make it possible to accelerate the necessary change towards a reduced use of virgin raw materials in our buildings by developing new earth and climate friendly products and solutions based on waste, biproducts, unused resources, and discarded production. We make it easy for the ones who design and build to choose a waste-based product, for the benefit of the environment, the user and the investor. Our approach is scalable. We are experts in creating valuable upcycled products from scalable sources of waste. We see opportunities, when others see waste. Our know-how drives innovation and product development and shape the products of tomorrow with the waste of today. ReMoni

Team: ReMoni is an R&D intensive Danish tech start-up. The team consists of 20 experienced people within both technical and business development and execution. We have a strong team spirit and employees who have bought them self into the company to be partners. Core business: We optimize buildings and production – using comprehensive monitoring – to correct malfunction and eliminate loss of: Energy, Water and Productivity. Core secret: The novelty of our technology is that our sensor system enables the user to monitor power, flow and heat flow, simply by clamping our sensor units onto cables, pipes, etc. without the need of technical intervention, or disconnecting the system.

RE-ZIP

What is RE-ZIP RE-ZIP is a circular packaging concept offering circular packaging to more or less all players in the ecommerce industry. By circulating and hence reusing rather than using single-use packaging (even recycled) we save CO2 even the first time a packaging is reused. It works likes this RE-ZIP delivers the packaging to webshops who offer the sustainable packing solution to their customers at check-out for a minor fee (paid back via reward voucher upon returning the packaging). Upon receipt of the goods the customer folds the RE-ZIP packaging to a return format and return it at a Drop Point. The packaging is returned to the RE-ZIP warehouse for cleaning and re-circulation to the webshops. The RE-ZIP packaging can be circulated up to 10 times, but more importantly the packaging will begin saving CO2 Within the first or second use – depending on the type. RE-ZIP has developed a state-of-the-art backend system supporting the above process and are currently operating in Denmark, UK and Poland. Hence working at RE-ZIP will offer you in-person colleagues in Denmark and remote colleagues in before mentioned countries and more to come. Tre generationers forbrug af plastik har sat sine spor. Kun en lille del bliver genbrugt eller destrueret. Resten ligger i naturen i hundredvis af år. Vi arbejder for at reducere vores enorme plastikproduktion ved blandt andet at eliminere unødvendig engangsplastik fra vores produkter, ved at sætte bedre rammer for hvordan vi designer produkter til mere genbrug, og det plastik vi ikke kan genbruge, skal vi kunne genanvende.
