EIT Climate-KIC (Knowledge and Innovation Community) is Europe’s foremost climate innovation initiative. We understand that keeping global temperature rise below 1.5˚C demands unprecedented change. Historically, we have been funded by our founder and core funder, the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), but we are currently transitioning to a multi-funder model. EIT Climate-KIC colleagues are based in one of our local offices across Europe or work remotely from home based in one of the countries where we have a branch. From being a start-up in a basement Seaborg is today employing more than 20 people and scaling fast.

At Lyras, we develop and manufacture systems for the liquid food processing industry.We aim to replace traditional heat-based pasteurization and spore removal in the food processing industry by introducing our novel cold pasteurisation technology, which reduces the energy consumption related to traditional heat-pasteurization by more than 90%.Our goal is to provide a greener and more efficient technological change to a global industry, allowing for a truly sustainable production chain.
