Fischer Lighting is a sustainable front-runner who has developed a unique circular business model where waste is transformed into new beautiful lamps that make buildings more sustainable and people healthier. In 2023, Fischer Lighting saved more than 53 tons of discarded lamps from being thrown away, and with the concepts ReUse, ReDesign, and ReCreate, unique lighting solutions are created in a beautiful and industrial design that meets all the requirements of a new lighting fixture. In addition to environmental sustainability, social sustainability is also an important part of the concept. Therefore, all the old lamps are separated and assembled by people on the edge of the labor market in Denmark. At the same time, the lamps are equipped with the latest technology, which, among other things, enables circadian lighting, which can stimulate the production of hormones in our body and create better well-being for people in buildings.

Established in 2010 and headquartered in Amsterdam, we orchestrate a community of more than 200 organisations including large corporations and SMEs, municipal and regional governments, universities, and research institutes, as well as non-governmental organisations and uncommon actors. Historically, we have been funded by our founder and core funder, the European Institute for Innovation and Technology (EIT), but we are currently transitioning to a multi-funder model. EIT Climate-KIC colleagues are based in one of our local offices across Europe or work remotely from home based in one of the countries where we have a branch. Beleaf is a platform that want to make it easy for everyone to hold plants. The platform consists of three parts: The app - a mobile application where users can put in their plant and get an overview of when they need caring. The device – a device that uploads data about the plants to the cloud. The shop – a webshop where users can configure a plant and get a gardener to prepare quality plants with the correct growing media. With the usage of new technologies, we're making plants digital.
