IoT Fabrikken was founded in 2018 by Mikkel Fischer and Jon Wichmann. However, the foundation of the company was laid long before that. ARIS Robotics was founded by a shared vision: to steer the world towards a greener future. One of the critical challenges in the green transition is how we manage our resources and waste. Today’s processes are highly linear: raw materials are extracted, processed into products, used a few times, and then discarded—either incinerated or buried in landfills. We aim to change that. At ARIS, our ultimate goal is to create a world without waste. This means transforming linear processes into circular ones. The first step towards effective recycling is good sorting. We develop scalable and automated solutions using deep learning to recognize and sort waste efficiently. Currently, we are serving our beachhead market—public recycling centers.
