NitroVolt is decarbonizing nitrogen-based fertilizer production and making the agricultural sector more resilient with a novel production process. Commercial ammonia production supports 40-50% of the agricultural industry as a nitrogen-based fertilizer. But current ammonia production is not sustainable, releasing over 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions during production facilities and further emissions during transportation to the end user, farmers. NitroVolt offers a local ammonia production solution that gives farmers the ability to produce their own nitrogen-based fertilizer. The only inputs required by NitroVolt’s container-sized systems are air, water, and electricity, enabling production of sustainable ammonia directly at farms. NitroVolt’s patented electrochemical Nitrolyzer unit can make ammonia on-demand with intermittent renewable energy sources. With their technology, NitroVolt aims to decarbonize nitrogen-based fertilizer production one farm at a time, cut the logistic costs of distributing fertilizer, and make the agricultural sector more resilient to external factors.

About Algiecel ALGIECEL has been founded to take part in the challenge of transforming today´s CO2 emissions into feasible business opportunities. The company´s vision is to provide biosolutions for decarbonization and the mission is to produce tomorrow´s sustainable protein and omega-3 rich products utilizing captured CO2, microalgae, and a win-win business model. Algiecel makes it easy for industrial companies to transform their CO2 emissions into microalgae biomass using a high-yield photobioreactor fitted into standard shipping containers. The Clients The microalgae biomass is CO2 neutral, vegan, and natural. It can be split into a protein and an oil fraction. The protein fraction will be applied as aquaculture feed, is very high in protein and contains omega-3, food-grade vitamins and carotenoids. The oil fraction will be applied in cosmetics, is very high in omega-3 and contains food-grade vitamins and carotenoids. The CO2 Suppliers ALGIECEL´s photobioreactors can go where large power-to-X projects cannot go. Specific target industries are biogas and fermentation companies. Here, small numbers of mobile container units can solve the CO2 emission problems of entire production sites – plug and play – while requiring little space by stacking and packing the containers on demand. The Technology ALGIECEL developes compact, mobile microalgae producing photobioreactors fitting into standard shipping containers. We were lucky to see it from the first row how #CPHSW helped people get into the entrepreneur mindset and to try new challenges. Most of this packaging is used for food and beverage products and it is an increasingly large environmental challenge. At Cirqle we are driven by our mission to make single-use a thing of the past and make reuse packaging the norm. Reusing packaging reduces the impact, and greatly minimizes the natural resource use of packaging. With our pioneering reuse packaging service and technology platform, we make reuse a reality for companies in the food and beverage industry. We are already breaking new ground with our meal-kit service, but the sky's the limit when it comes to reuse packaging. Rope Robotics is the developer and producer of an automatic BR-8 robot to be used as a unique repair solution for leading edges on turbine blades. Wind turbine blades need to be repaired to maintain their high performance. With manual labor turbine blades can only be repaired 20% of the time during a year due to the fact that it requires technicians to climb up with support from ropes. Using our robot to do the repair and maintenance work in the heights, we are going to expand this repair window and to improve the working environment for the technicians. We have several robot pilots in the pipeline in various places around the world and have received major funding from the EU and Danish Government.

We use Machine Learning to predict charge point failures in advance, allowing operators to hinder downtime and reduce repair costs. The problem is a low stability across the charge point infrastructure network of many European countries, with it being reflected in both consumers and legislation. Predictive maintenance (PdM) enables overview and control of charge point networks. It allows for pre-emptive downtime through carefully scheduled reboots, updates or maintenance. It can help ensure high levels of reliability, an infrastructural foundational need of upmost importance in the transition to electrical vehicles for all providers, operators and nations. Our core goal is to achieve high model performance. By attaining high performance, our model will position Lumina as the preferred predictive maintenance partner in the EV market.
