Rock Flour Company

Rock Flour Company is a dynamic, mission-driven startup founded by Professor Minik Rosing, the world-renowned geologist and pioneer of utilizing Greenlandic Rock Flour (GRF) for carbon-negative agronomic applications. Our core mission is ambitious: to bring GRF to market, enabling sustainable agriculture, facilitating carbon removals at scale, and delivering tangible economic benefits to local communities in both Greenland and specific farming regions globally. Today, we’re a dynamic core team of five with a validated potential by top investors across the globe. In September this year, we raised our second financing round featuring major commitments from Danish & Greenlandic institutional investors like Novo Holdings, EIFO (Danish state venture fund), SISA, and Nalik Ventures.

Swan Neck Bio partners with food and biotech companies of any size to scale, commercialize, and deploy their microorganisms. These unnecessary constraints cause too many businesses to fail before their time. We partner with you to help you trial, validate, and scale your microorganism from lab to 1,000L. This dramatically derisks your scaling process and accelerates your time-to-market. And its 10-100 times cheaper than existing solutions.

TEGnology

With a core technology of thermal energy harvesting, TEGnology works on smart power supply solutions for future IoT devices, which don't rely on batteries or cables. It opens opporutnities for generating more data, making more precise moniroting, or installing sensor in the places difficult to reach. Digital transition and industrial automantion sill based on installing a large number of wireless sensor nodes, most of which are currently powered by batteries. Despite the relatively low cost of batteries, the enevitable man-powered involved in maintaining the keeping track of batteries might be problematic, not to mention batteries pollutes. Thermal energy harvesting converts temperature gradience directly into electricity. No moving parts or chemical reactions are involved. The lifetime of thermal generator is therefore typically decades. During the entire lifetime, more energy can be provided than any type of batteries. All materials used in TEGnology’s thermal energy harvesters are abundant and environmentally-friendly. The manufacture method is compatible with existing industrial standard. It makes up-scaling of production relatively straightforward.

Flowering.dk

Centrally located in Copenhagen, Flowering is developing bouquets with a reduced CO2 output to help environmentally conscious customers reduce waste and promote sustainability with beautifully crafted, eco-friendly floral arrangements. Flowering addresses the significant issue of flower waste in the floral industry. This problem affects both the environment and flower producers, contributing to unnecessary carbon footprints. The widespread waste impacts growers, retailers, and consumers who seek sustainable alternatives. Our team at Flowering sources surplus flowers that would otherwise be discarded and repurposes them into beautiful, high-quality bouquets in combination with local and certified flowers. By implementing efficient logistics and innovative design processes, we ensure these flowers reach customers fresh and vibrant, reducing waste and promoting sustainability without any intermediaries. The inspiration for Flowering came from witnessing the vast amounts of perfectly good flowers being discarded daily. Motivated by a passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive environmental impact, we left our jobs and studies to focus on creating a business that not only delivers beauty but also champions environmental responsibility.

Green Earth provides innovative sustainable solutions with our 100% compostable/biodegradable products. Our products are the best substitutes to everyday single use products made up of plastic, thermocol and paper. Green Earth products can be best alternative as they are made by considering the principles of circular economy and ‘state-of-the-art’ technology. In order to revolutionize the way buildings are managed. We are developing a next generation computing platform. This platform will leverage cloud, IoT technologies and modern electronics to upgrade existing industrial systems. We envision a future in which buildings accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. HEMBOO

We are HEMBOO: an early stage start-up with the vision of making low emissions, renewable materials the norm in construction. Besides fossil fuels, the production of concrete is the worst emitter of CO2 in the world. However it is the most used material within the construction sector. But not for long: climate legislation is about to make concrete a whole lot more expensive, by introducing a CO2 TAX. This leaves the construction companies with a problem as there is no valid sustainable alternative they can use. HEMBOO offers an easy solution: prefabricated walls for new construction made of hemp and bamboo with a reduction of 80% CO2 emitted compared to the traditionally used concrete walls. BUT the construction industry is very conservative and risk-averse. Therefore getting to market is a long journey. We built our first prototype are now preparing for the second one and are gathering data on the needs of our customers. Our aim is to provide a solution similar enough in prefabrication and installation methods, to make the transition from concrete fast and easy. Our element is designed for large scaled production so that we can have the largest impact. Recently we have received a total of 520.000 dkk in soft funding for product development and are participating in multiple startup support programs so it is full speed ahead! The team behind it all: We are a diverse team of three, Elsa Maria Iuliano, Helena Brandt Rejndrup and Michael Hallam. Helena and Elsa graduated as architectural engineers from DTU while Michael is finishing up his studies in design and entrepreneurship. We started HEMBOO because we are all very passionate about making an environmental impact. As a team we have a lot fun together, while still being productive. We emphasize a friendly environment where we help each other even though everyone has individual responsibilities. Currently looking to expand and we want you to be a part of it! NitroVolt

NitroVolt is decarbonizing nitrogen-based fertilizer production and making the agricultural sector more resilient with a novel production process. Commercial ammonia production supports 40-50% of the agricultural industry as a nitrogen-based fertilizer. But current ammonia production is not sustainable, releasing over 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions during production facilities and further emissions during transportation to the end user, farmers. NitroVolt offers a local ammonia production solution that gives farmers the ability to produce their own nitrogen-based fertilizer. The only inputs required by NitroVolt’s container-sized systems are air, water, and electricity, enabling production of sustainable ammonia directly at farms. NitroVolt’s patented electrochemical Nitrolyzer unit can make ammonia on-demand with intermittent renewable energy sources. With their technology, NitroVolt aims to decarbonize nitrogen-based fertilizer production one farm at a time, cut the logistic costs of distributing fertilizer, and make the agricultural sector more resilient to external factors.

ARIS Robotics

ARIS Robotics was founded by a shared vision: to steer the world towards a greener future. One of the critical challenges in the green transition is how we manage our resources and waste. Today’s processes are highly linear: raw materials are extracted, processed into products, used a few times, and then discarded—either incinerated or buried in landfills. We aim to change that. At ARIS, our ultimate goal is to create a world without waste. This means transforming linear processes into circular ones. The first step towards effective recycling is good sorting. We develop scalable and automated solutions using deep learning to recognize and sort waste efficiently. Currently, we are serving our beachhead market—public recycling centers. Here, we assist visitors in correctly sorting their waste, extending the lifespan of materials and reducing the need to extract more raw materials from our limited planet. Agoprene AS

Agoprene is a biotech startup based in Oslo and Copenhagen. Agoprene is developing furniture foam from biomass to help the furniture industry reduce their need for petrochemicals. ​ Globally, furniture foam, which is derived from petroleum, accounts for 105 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. One armchair for example, emits an average of 43 kg CO2e, almost half of which is due to furniture foam. ​ Agoprene's foam is completely free of petrochemicals. We believe finding planet-friendly alternatives isn’t a challenge; it’s an opportunity.
