Aguardio ApS

Aguardio helps hotels save water and costs, while improving their sustainability.  In order to save water resources, our goal is to reduce the water consumption during showers. Our mission is simple – to reduce water consumption by supporting, improving and developing sustainable behaviour. Sustainia

Sustainia is a global sustainability advisory firm, headquartered in Copenhagen. Since 2009, the mission of Sustainia has been to simplify sustainability. As one of our signature projects, Sustainia operates with United Nations Global Compact the world's largest platform for vetted & verified sustainable solutions, the Global Opportunity Explorer. Armed with mindsets and methodologies, strategies and solutions, Sustainia advises organisations on how to create enduring sustainability transformations required in order to stay relevant in an ever-changing world.

uMover

The uMover® is a smart and usability-focused 3-wheel electrical vehicle for transporting people over shorter indoor and outdoor distances (0,5-5 km). It has been developed by us, DTU spinout CJ Company IVS, whom have built the uMover® upon a future mobility concept proposed by Continental AG (CAG). The uMover® targets employees who need to travel frequently within shorter distances, enabling them to become more efficient at work by easing their way of travel and reducing their travel time substantially. The uMover® will be a superior work-environment travel solution, as it – due to its smart design – offers the flexible advantages of walking, but with the similar speed and ease as driving a car or a bike. Drawbacks of the solutions in the market today are high prices, space requirements (especially for cars), no compliance with traffic regulations and laws and poor safety control (limiting the indoor application possibilities). Through cooperation with DTU and CAG we have been able to complete a full proof-of-concept and develop several of the unique mechanical components and are now in the detailing phase of the mechanical and electrical construction for a scale-up of the uMover®.

Cirqle

Plastic waste and single-use packaging is one of the great unsolved problems for our planet. In Denmark, we produce 844KG of household waste annually per person. Most of this packaging is used for food and beverage products and it is an increasingly large environmental challenge. At Cirqle we are driven by our mission to make single-use a thing of the past and make reuse packaging the norm. Reusing packaging reduces the impact, and greatly minimizes the natural resource use of packaging. With our pioneering reuse packaging service and technology platform, we make reuse a reality for companies in the food and beverage industry. We are already breaking new ground with our meal-kit service, but the sky's the limit when it comes to reuse packaging. With partners we cover the full supply chain from packaging production and software development to sanitation and logistics making sustainability the easy choice for our customers.

NABO

NABO is technologies that activate Sustainable & Committed Co-Living Communities. Our CoCreators are compensated in shares in our group of startups - this is to diversify risk and to make our CoCreators richer than our investors. Paint'R

In the European Union alone, more than 1.5 million paint buckets are discarded daily, constituting a disposal of 340 tons of single-use plastic that is incinerated each day. Starting from early 2023 (2025 in Denmark and Slovenia), manufacturers are obligated to cover the disposal costs of their packaging based on sustainability criteria. In Denmark, this translates to an estimated 15% fee on paint buckets. Furthermore, the conventional round shape of packaging has proven suboptimal for logistics and transportation. Beyond its environmental impact, the traditional paint bucket poses challenges for professional painters. These challenges encompass ergonomic issues during handling, such as the strain of lifting two buckets simultaneously, which exceeds recommended weight limits according to the Working Environment Authority. Painters also find themselves in awkward positions when pouring paint into a roller bucket for wall application. The demanding physical nature of the painting profession in Denmark results in accelerated fatigue and early retirement for painters. Additionally, issues like lid leakage due to dried paint and the use of fragile, porous plastic contribute to unexpected spills, particularly during abrupt vehicle stops. Our innovative solution involves a cardboard box housing two patent-pending plastic bags, each containing 5 liters of paint. This packaging not only enhances the workflow for professional painters but also reduces costs and lowers carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions by approximately 65% per unit. The box's design facilitates easy and ergonomic transportation, allowing for a 45% increase in units per pallet. The box is opened, and one of the bags is inserted into a standard roller bucket used by painters. The bag effortlessly opens and seamlessly fits into the roller bucket, wrapping around the edges, and enabling the painter to begin work promptly. This functionality is made possible through an innovative patented design and specific plastic welding techniques.

Agoprene AS

Agoprene is a biotech startup based in Oslo and Copenhagen. Agoprene is developing furniture foam from biomass to help the furniture industry reduce their need for petrochemicals. ​ Globally, furniture foam, which is derived from petroleum, accounts for 105 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. One armchair for example, emits an average of 43 kg CO2e, almost half of which is due to furniture foam. ​ Agoprene's foam is completely free of petrochemicals. We believe finding planet-friendly alternatives isn’t a challenge; it’s an opportunity.

We develop, innovate, produce and deliver scalable waste-based building elements and interior products for the professional built environment. The construction industry account for 40% of all waste generated and is the #1 consumer of raw materials globally. The embedded carbon in building materials account for 11% of global carbon emission. At the same time, global floor area is expected to double by 2060. Sustainable building materials will be key to reducing footprint from the construction industry. We need to change the way we build and focus on materials produced from non-virgin materials. We make it possible to accelerate the necessary change towards a reduced use of virgin raw materials in our buildings by developing new earth and climate friendly products and solutions based on waste, biproducts, unused resources, and discarded production. SteamFoss A/S

Vi benytter os af fremtidens teknologi og gør din bil helt ren med blot 3 liter vand. Vores dampmetode sparer på vandforbruget. En liter vand forvandles til 1.700 liter tørdamp. En dampvask af din bil udgøres reelt set kun af tre liter vand – i modsætning til en traditionel bilvask hvor der anvendes 300 liter vand. Metoden er også effektiv, fordi den 170 grader varme damp trænger ned i alle afkroge af bilen, hvor den fjerner snavs og dræber bakterierne i hele bilen.

CPH Village is a Copenhagen based real estate start-up on a mission to create the best place to live for people and the planet through simple, communal living Our long-range vision is to export a new way of living to cities worldwide, and our goal for the next three years is to build and operate homes for 2.500 students. Our offices are located in our Villages on Refshaleøen and Vesterbro, and we work in the same kind of space as our residents live in. Quantified Impacts ApS

We are a startup on a mission to quantify environmental impacts, make them easy to understand and act upon! Companies and organizations needs to be able to calculate and document carbon footprint on the goods they sell. Unfortunately this is currently a very complicated and time-consuming task! We automate the process of calculating and documenting product's carbon footprint through intuitive software, providing high-quality data and a seamless user experience. Quantified Impacts is founded in late 2022. We have secured initial capital and have set the path to reach our mission. We have offices in Valby Copenhagen and in Bjerringbro Jutland.
