Bak Probiotic Skincare

Bak Probiotic Skincare develops and produces probiotic skincare products that help consumers rebalance their skin microbiome with patented bacterial strains isolated by our inhouse team of microbiologists. The newest frontier in skincare (and many other areas) is within treatment and stabilization of the microbiome. Bak Skincare is in the front of this movement contributing with ground-breaking probiotic products that help our consumers rebalance their natural skin microbiome. Bak Probiotic Skincare is the first commercial division of our parent company, Lactobio, which is a new biotechnology startup founded by 2 senior scientists from world-reknowned bio-giants Novozymes and Dupont. Lactobio screens thousands of different bacterial strains against specific microbiome-related diseases. This this include Acne, Eczema, and Rosacea, but our research goes much further as the ambition of Lactobio is to build a new Danish-native, but global biotechnology company. We are still only ~10 people and are just getting started, but we are already well on our way on becoming the world leader within microbiome research. A more encompassing analogy would be that we are building the Windows of AI, with a microsoft store that people actually want to use. The first service available is an automatic summarizer, with promising applications for lawyers.

Relewise

Relewise offers a personalization and search platform (SaaS) used by E-commerce and Marketing managers to provide better CX and thereby increase sales and conversion rates. We are headless and can be integrated to any e-commerce, marketing automation or app platform via our REST API. Our platform has been shaped through our past experiences, through many years, having implemented large-scale e-commerce solutions, both in Denmark and internationally - and in those projects we have worked with numerous platforms and systems, including other recommendation engines. Few years ago we decided that 'we can do this better', and after a lot of thinking, design sessions and looking into the space of complex algorithms necessary, we went ahead and started the development of Relewise. Our primary mission was to have 'zero compromises' in the product. Today Relewise is fully operational - with large clients using our software to maximize conversions and optimizing user experiences by providing real-time personalized product and content recommendations as well as search functionality. Relewise supports millions of products and variants, where all data gets persisted, and where data is analyzed and used real-time with zero delay. We also have support for marketing automation, e.g. Abandoned Cart, Product- and Category interest triggers, working together with industry-leading marketing platform providers. Our ultimate motivation is to give the best end-user experience through personalized search and product and content recommendations - both offline and online. All while providing developers and marketers with the best tools to implement and tailor their solutions. With GDPR-compliancy built into every aspect of our software, any end-user request to exercise their rights, e.g. the right to be forgotten, can easily be handled. Student Survival Guide

Student Survival Guide is a community-driven project that is gathering in one platform all important information about university life in a foreign country. Students can also find tips from former students, learn more about daily life in the new country, and discover local gems, only other students know about. We are also running a weekly live broadcast where students can engage in a conversation about current events in the country and the world. We provide people with information that is crucial to a successful and happy life in Denmark. And we make sure that the information is correct, easy to understand, and actionable. We are making sure that we include the community, answer questions that people are asking, and touch on topics, which most other publicly funded organizations cannot. After a successful year on the market, we have learned how to communicate key information in an effective way, either through videos, articles or live streams. After our platform grew, we understood from peoples feedback that they needed a strong sense of community. Therefore, we are organizing weekly meetings in Aarhus, where all like-minded students can meet and work together on common goals. We have developed the project to it’s near full-market potential. We are present on all key platforms where the target group is and we have established an organizational structure that is recruiting more members. We are technologically capable to execute large projects and collaborations. We are part of AU Incubator since 2019, where we have held conversations with startup advisors. Consequently, we are using AU Incubator as a meeting point for the community that builds Student Survival Guide. Student Survival Guide is run by Michael Mares and Jaroslav Vyhnak, both 24 year old Master’s Degree Students in Economics and Business Administration at Aarhus University in Denmark. However, Student Survival Guide is a community-run project where a key asset are the contributors that write and share their knowledge. The contributor can be anyone with experience of the Danish way of life and schooling. So far, SSG has had more than 20 contributors. All of the contributors are bachelor’s/master’s degree students from international backgrounds. Contributors form teams that are responsible for various areas of the project, such as blogging, social media, video editing, news research and community management. All of the teams have their respective managers, who collaborate together to ensure proper project development. We have so far been able to reach more than 100,000 people through social media, gained more than 5,000+ followers on social media and got our videos viewed more than 43,000 times. On top of this, more than 10,000 students have already read our blogs and ‘survival guides’ to Denmark, on our website. We got the project to the point where many of the students prefer to contact us with their questions rather than relying on their universities or other ‘resourceful’ institutions.

HELIOT EMIL

1. INTRODUCTION A Ready-To-Wear fashion company presented by brothers Julius Juul and Victor Juul from Copenhagen, Denmark. Exploring the lines between form and function driven by experimental approaches, HELIOT EMIL™ pushes the semantic dialogue within the creative industry. A subversive scandinavian and monochromatic aesthetic, combined with custom developed materials, fabrics and trimmings, HELIOT EMIL™ entices a high attention to detail throughout every branch. Designer Julius Juul draws on thought provoking themes and a curiosity about creative expression reflected in every collection by HELIOT EMIL™. 2. FOUNDATION Since the first collection was showcased in Milan during spring / summer 17 season, HELIOT EMIL™ has continually expropriated its exploration of the creative milieu. The aesthetic is carefully developed with custom fabrics, hardware trimmings and materials. Each hardware detail is created from the bottom up with form and function in mind. Experimentation and a high attention to detail is ensured by partnering only with the best in their category and industry. A tight-bond with all partners allows for a coherent evolution of the brand aesthetic. With painstaking attention to detail each garment is conceived from a collective ideation for each season standing in relation to the brand as a whole. 3. FUTURE The subsequent phase for HELIOT EMIL™ will see a further cementation of the brand and an expansion of the semantic dialogue with the creative milieu. The core value of the brand will be explored without compromise, through both physical spaces enticing further ideas of form and function, and experiences expressing the innovative nature of the brand. Underlying the continuous organic development is a coherent understanding of the brand developed in close proximity with all partners.

volant - minimalistic handmade diffusers and organic essential oils

Volant was founded in Norway by Tobias Nervik and Daniel Hoftun. They shared a flat in Oslo and wanted to buy an aroma diffuser to start using essential oils after Tobias heard about it on the Tim Ferriss show. Daniel had just refurbished the apartment and wanted a nice-looking diffuser that fit well with the interior decor. They were unable to find one. That is why they created volant: to offer a minimalistic essential oil diffuser that goes with any interior. The volant diffuser was an instant hit in Norway and launched in 15 countries within the first year. The volant diffuser is Scandinavian in design and craftsmanship and is the flagship product of volant. It infuses our customers' spaces with fresh aromas and helps them feel relaxed, energetic or focused depending on their needs.
