The Let's Roll app tries to take on some of the key problems facing skaters all over the world: Where do I skate, who do I skate with, and how do I progress in my skills? We try to combine these elements, into an exercise tracker, focused on roller sports and specifically roller skating. We know how to optimise the production process and properties of titania nanoparticles. After successfully developing and commercialising a series of photocatalytic surface treatment products (www.joma-int.com), we are directing our R&D efforts towards a new area; the use of titania as anode-material in Lithium-ion batteries (LIB). A battery with our material on the anode will charge faster, last longer, be safer and tolerate temperature variation better than conventional batteries which have graphite on the anode, and outcompete LTO-batteries on capacity. The development work takes place in our in-house laboratory in Bergen, where our dedicated team (Hjørdis, Marthe, Rob, Anders) play around with titania, giving life to innovative solutions.
