Spirelight Transcription is a web app for turning recorded interviews into text that can be checked, quoted and analysed. Upload an MP3, M4A, WAV or MP4 file, choose the language or let it be detected, and get a draft with speaker labels and timestamps. The draft is corrected in the browser next to a built-in player, speakers are renamed once for the whole document, and the result exports to Word, plain text or SRT. Quotes can be coded in the same project. The site is available in ten European languages. Transcription runs in the US, with an EU backup, and files are stored in the US. New accounts get 1 hour free with no card, then €2 per audio hour or €14 a month for 20 hours.
