1990 Studio is an end-to-end app and creative development studio based in Copenhagen's Carlsberg Byen. Founded in 2024 by Frederik and Kristian Wagner, we bring digital concepts to life primarily for North American startups building at the intersection of mobile and AI. 1990 Studio imagines, designs, executes and operates the products we've built. Our experience has taught us how to balance craftsmanship with commercial reality, which means we build things that are both beautiful and viable. Sometimes we lead projects from concept to launch. Other times we step in to polish existing experiences that need that final layer of thoughtfulness. We love industrial and consumer design, study the 1950's Braun era and think Dieter Rams had it figured out. We carry his philosophy through to what we create digitally. Our team of four brings expertise from previous ventures, major tech companies, and creative work in healthtech. We've figured out how to work on Silicon Valley-caliber projects while maintaining Copenhagen work-life sanity. It's the best of both worlds.
