The role 

We are currently seeking a Customer Project Manager to join our Food & Food Contact Materials team. This is a permanent position based in Helsinki, Finland. If you are a resourceful individual with a proactive attitude and a strong curiosity about food contact materials testing and regulations, you might be the person we are looking for.

As a Customer Project Manager, you help our clients to bring their products to the market by arranging the needed testing services for them. You operate at the interface of our customers who need testing services, and our partner laboratories who perform them. You help our customers to identify the tests that they need, arrange the samples in the laboratories, report the results and provide consultation. Acting as a key link between our clients and our partner laboratories, you will ensure that testing needs are accurately identified and efficiently executed. 

To succeed in this role, you should have a keen interest in learning the regulatory landscape of food contact materials (FCMs). The ability to quickly absorb and apply new information will be essential in your work. As the team is focused both on Food & Food Contact Materials testing, you will partly work on food testing while the primary focus of the role will be on Food Contact Materials. Because you will work closely with both customers and partner laboratories, clear and effective communication skills are key.

We hope you’ve got

• A keen interest in Food Contact Materials regulatory landscape in the EU

• Knowledge of national regulation of EU member states, FDA regulations, and Chinese regulations regarding food contact material is considered a bonus

• A relevant BSc, BEng, MSc, PhD or equivalent degree in natural sciences or technology, for example in Food Science.

• A can-do attitude and customer-oriented mindset

• Professional communication skills in English
