When someone writes to us, a real person who cares writes back. Often with a video. Sometimes from the beach, the park, or your backyard.


Who we are

Baser is a premium parasol brand born in Denmark β€” now sold across Denmark, Germany, the UK, and Australia. We design beautiful, high-quality shade for people who take their outdoor living seriously. Our team is close-knit and fully remote, built around two co-founders: Christian (that's Mr. Shade) and Josefine, with sunny photo shoots on the southern coast of Spain and in Australia, where a lot of the magic gets filmed. In summer we sell hard across Europe. In winter we flip to Australia. Our business follows the sun β€” and for this role, so will you, at least once.


Start as the Apprentice. Grow into Chief Shade Officer.

You'll start as Mr. Shade's Apprentice, learning the craft hands-on. But this role has somewhere to go: as you grow, the goal is for you to take real ownership of the European market and eventually step up as our Chief Shade Officer in Europe, while Christian expands his role as our public figure, Mr. Shade himself.

You are not selling. You are advising. You help customers figure out which parasol is right for their space, their wind, their life β€” and that, in turn, is the best kind of selling there is. You're a real person who gives a damn. When a customer writes, we talk to them like a friend's friend who just asked what parasol to buy at a barbecue. And if the conversation drifts into Lego, Star Wars, or how their week is going β€” brilliant. That IS the service.


What you'll do:

  • Handle customer communication β€” email, social DMs, phone, and more

  • Help customers choose the right parasol for their outdoor space

  • Step into any situation a customer has and find a solution β€” parasol choice, logistics, spare parts, general fixes

  • Record quick, personal 1:1 videos for customers, just like Christian does

  • Join Christian delivering great service in Denmark & Australia

  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Christian as a core team member


Who you are

  • Fluent in Danish and English (German is a bonus)

  • Adventurous and mobile β€” this is the big one. The role starts with a real adventure: you train with us in southern Spain, then ride the peak of the 2026 Australian season on the ground, roughly October to December, in Australia and Southeast Asia, on Australian time. After that you're based in Europe for the long run. The Australia leg is a one-time ride at the very start β€” and all travel is paid β€” so you'll need to be genuinely free and up for it.

  • A natural people-person who lights up a conversation and isn't shy about getting personal

  • Someone who wants to learn and take ownership, not just clock in

  • Comfortable on camera β€” the role involves 1:1 video advice

  • Sales experience helps, but your energy, warmth, and honesty matter more

  • Curious, reliable, and happy to grab the reins


The rhythm of the job

Your first year is the adventure year. You'll join around July or August and train hands-on in southern Spain. Then comes the main event: the 2026 Australian high season, October to December, on the ground with us on Australian time. From 2027 you settle into Europe and make the market your own.

The honest deal β€” and we think it's a gift: you're ON during the season and flex right down when it's off. "ON" means you don't mind taking a quick chat on your phone while you're out, because we believe in being available when customers are actually free β€” evenings, weekends, the moment they're standing on their terrace wondering. And you never carry it alone: you and Christian share the duty, so there's always someone covering and always someone properly off the clock. When the season winds down, it genuinely winds down β€” time to recharge and sharpen the machine. This isn't a corporate job. It's a founder-led adventure, and you'll have a real seat at the table.
