About the role

We're looking for a Tech Lead who is a full-stack engineer with a strong frontend instinct to join our Growth team. This is a high-ownership role where you'll set technical direction, ship meaningful products, and help the growth developers do their best work. This role requires high business acumen and understanding of our customers. You will be the sparring partner for the VP of Growth and the Growth manager.

This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to write and review code while also setting the technical direction of this team and will be responsible for delivery, being the technical voice in cross-functional discussions.

 

Main Responsibilities

Technical direction
  • Own the frontend architecture of growth surfaces - component structure, performance, and the quality of what users actually see and interact with

  • Own the experimentation infrastructure - feature flags, A/B test assignment, event instrumentation, and result integrity

  • Make build/buy/integrate decisions on growth tooling (analytics, CRM integrations, marketing platforms)

  • Balance delivery speed with technical debt and trade-offs

Delivery & execution
  • Own the engineering delivery rhythm - planning, scoping, and making sure the team ships reliably

  • Break down complex growth initiatives into well-scoped, executable work

  • Unblock your team of developers through pairing, code review, and hands-on problem solving

  • Balance the speed demands of growth work with engineering practices that don't create a mess to clean up later

Experimentation & data
  • Be the technical counterpart to the Growth Manager on A/B testing - help them define the hypothesis and audience to make sure the test is instrumented correctly and the data is trustworthy

  • Collaborate with analytics to validate experiment results

  • Own integrations with CRM, email automation, and ad platforms from the engineering side - data piping, APIs, attribution tracking

Cross-functional collaboration
  • Partner with the VP of Growth on roadmap trade-offs and technical feasibility

  • Work closely with UX on implementation of growth experiences - flagging constraints early, not at handoff

  • Represent engineering clearly and confidently in team discussions - translating technical complexity into language that drives good decisions

About you

The right candidate is preferred to have the following qualifications:
  • Preferably experience with e-commerce and scaleups

  • Proven experience as a senior fullstack engineer or tech lead with a preference towards frontend

  • Strong product sense - you think about user behaviour and business outcomes, not just technical correctness

  • Experience with A/B testing infrastructure and experiment instrumentation

  • Comfortable with ambiguity - growth work is iterative and hypothesis-driven, not always neatly defined

  • Strong communicator who can work fluidly with non-technical teammates

  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, or ad platform integrations is a plus
