We’re looking for a Roaming Manager who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, and build with us — through the grind and the wins.

This Is What You Will Achieve

Roaming is what lets an EV driver plug in anywhere in Europe and just charge, across networks, operators, and borders. Behind that simplicity sits a web of partner agreements, pricing rules, and data flowing between operators. Your job is to make all of it work, commercially and operationally.

This is a role for a sharp, analytical, commercially-minded person who’s hungry to own something real. If you can read the numbers, spot what’s wrong, challenge a contract, and push a deal to signature this is for you. Roaming specialist knowledge we will teach you along the way...

What You’ll Do

• Own the commercial health of our roaming partnerships, track the numbers, spot what’s off, and act before it becomes a problem.

• Find the root cause when things break. Dig through logs and dashboards to understand why a charging session failed, a price was wrong, or an invoice doesn’t reconcile - then fix it with the tooling at hand, pulling in Engineering only when you genuinely need to.

• Read partner agreements like you mean it. Review terms line by line, challenge what doesn’t serve Monta, and drive contracts to signature-ready with Legal.

• Talk commercials with partners, pricing, margins, terms, and hold your own across the table.

• Turn messy data into decisions. Build the reporting that shows how our roaming network is performing, and translate it into clear recommendations.

• Make the repetitive disappear. Spot the manual work that eats your week and automate it.

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves

• Strong analytical and data skills, at home in spreadsheets, dashboards, and raw data, and able to find the story the numbers are telling.

• Sharp attention to detail, you catch the wrong VAT rate, the off-by-one markup, the contract line everyone else skimmed.

• Commercial confidence, you can read a legal agreement, push back on it, and discuss commercials with a partner without flinching.

• Hungry, driven, and ambitious, you take ownership, move fast, and want to grow well beyond this role.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to EV charging, roaming, or the broader mobility industry

• Comfort poking at APIs, SQL, or OCPI data (or the appetite to learn fast)

• A second European language

AI Competency

We expect you to work with AI, not around it. The analytical and operational core of this role is exactly where it pays off: use AI to:

• Dig through logs and CDR data faster

• Draft and pressure-test partner emails

• Summarise long contracts and flag risky clauses

• Reconcile invoices, and remove the repetitive workflows that used to fill an afternoon

Tools we lean on: Claude, Gemini and Notion AI (docs, knowledge, meeting notes).

You’ll be expected to work with AI-powered tools. Some tools we use:

• GitHub Copilot / Claude Code

• Claude/Gemini

• Notion AI (docs, knowledge, meeting notes)

• AI-enhanced testing & monitoring (e.g., Grafana ML)
