At Shine, our Security team operates as a strategic driver rather than a support function. We work directly with leadership to integrate resilience into the company’s core, navigating the complex intersection of cloud-native architecture, AI innovation, and rigorous regulatory standards like DORA and ISO 27001. By partnering cross-functionally with Engineering and Risk, we aren’t just maintaining a perimeter; we are building a scalable, high-visibility security framework that defines the future of digital operational excellence in the fintech space.
As the Team Lead – Security Architecture & Engineering at Shine you drive the design, implementation, and evolution of our security architecture across cloud, applications, infrastructure, and enterprise platforms.
This is a leadership role for a hands-on security professional who can translate business objectives into secure, scalable and resilient technology solutions while leading a high-performing team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and mentor Security Architects and Security Engineers.
Define and maintain security architecture standards, patterns, and roadmaps.
Embed Secure-by-Design and DevSecOps practices across the technology lifecycle.
Conduct security architecture reviews, threat modelling, and design assurance activities.
Drive security engineering initiatives across Cloud Security, CNAPP, IAM, Application Security, Data Security, and Security Automation.
Lead Virtual Technology Security Committee to ensure security initiatives are prioritised.
Partner with Engineering, Product, IT and GRC teams to manage security risks and enable innovation.
Evaluate emerging technologies and ensure alignment with security strategy and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience leading Security Architecture and Engineering functions.
10 years experience in the Security field and at least 2 years in a leading position
Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, application security, IAM, and modern security engineering practices.
Experience implementing and operating CNAPP, security automation, and secure cloud platforms.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive security outcomes across complex environments.
Preferred Certifications CCSP, SABSA, AWS/Azure/GCP Security Certifications.
