Lithium Optima is a young technology company developing advanced, AI-enabled Battery Management Systems (BMS) for lithium-ion batteries.
We are now moving into production and are preparing our production test equipment for PCBA testing. As part of this work, we are looking for a mechanical engineering student from DTU who can help us complete and optimize the mechanical design of our test jig.
You will work together with our engineering team on the mechanical part of a production test jig for our BMS electronics.
The work will include tasks such as:
Completing and refining the mechanical design of the test jig
Designing mechanical fixtures and mounting solutions for the PCBA
Ensuring accurate positioning and easy handling of the PCB during testing
Preparing the design for practical manufacturing and assembly
Creating and updating 3D models and technical drawings in SolidWorks
Working closely with our electronics and production engineers
This is a hands-on project where you will see your design go from CAD model to a real piece of production equipment.
We are looking for a student who:
Is studying Mechanical Engineering at DTU
Has practical experience with SolidWorks
Is interested in mechanical design and product development
Can work independently but enjoys working closely with engineers from other disciplines
Has a practical, problem-solving attitude
Is curious, proactive and has a can-do mindset
Is simply a good person to work with π
Previous experience with fixtures, jigs, manufacturing, 3D printing or production equipment is an advantage, but not a requirement.
You will get the opportunity to work on a real engineering project in a young deep-tech startup, where your work will directly contribute to bringing our BMS products into production.
You will work closely with experienced engineers and gain practical experience in:
Mechanical design β Prototyping β Manufacturing β Production
The project can also be a good opportunity to develop a student project or future thesis topic, depending on your interests and study requirements.
