We are a Helsinki-based industrial AI startup with secured funding and strong customer traction.
We are building the decision layer on top of condition monitoring. Our AI colleague analyzes machine data like an experienced condition monitoring specialist: interpreting signal patterns, using machine history and operational context, explaining the root cause, and recommending the right maintenance action.
For condition monitoring experts, this is the interesting part: we are not building another dashboard or alert system. We are building software that captures expert reasoning and makes it available across every asset in a plant.
Founded in 2024, we are a team of 10 based in Helsinki, backed by Nordic industrial technology investors. We already work with leading European process industry companies such as Metsä Group, SSAB, and Aurubis, and have a strong sales pipeline across Northern and Western Europe.
We are looking for an experienced condition monitoring engineer to help us build the next generation of AI powered vibration analysis. This is a rare role: you will sit at the intersection of frontline diagnostic work and product development, solving the hardest vibration problems in our customers' plants while shaping how our AI colleague reasons about them.
The role is a hybrid between two functions. With our customers (alongside the commercial team), you will diagnose vibration issues on real assets, run analysis when our system falls short, and translate plant context into product requirements. With our product team (alongside our CTO), you will encode that expertise into the AI colleague, design new analytical capabilities, and help us push past the limits of conventional condition monitoring software.
You will report directly to the founders and have real influence on product direction.
You have solid industrial experience executing vibration analysis on rotating equipment in real plant environments (pumps, motors, gearboxes, fans, turbines, generators).
Your vibration skills match the Vibration Analyst CAT II or above level. A formal certificate is welcome but not required if your experience and skills are equivalent.
You enjoy the hardest diagnostic cases, the ones where the rulebook does not give a clean answer and you have to reason from first principles.
You are curious about product development and software engineering, and want to learn how your expertise can be encoded into AI systems that scale across thousands of machines.
You communicate fluently in English (full professional proficiency).
Programming experience (Python, scripting for signal analysis, etc.).
Experience working with or building AI agents.
Additional languages, particularly German, Swedish, Polish, Finnish, or Dutch.
Experience with SKF Observer/Analyst, IBA systems, or similar platforms.
Industry experience in process industries (paper, steel, metals, chemicals).
Most condition monitoring jobs are about catching faults inside one plant. This one is about scaling expert level reasoning across every machine in every plant we serve. You will be one of the few people in the world working at the frontier of AI for vibration analysis, with a direct line into how the product evolves.
A central role in a high traction company. Your work shapes both the product and our customers' results.
Competitive salary and meaningful equity. Early team members are owners at Rotomate.
Direct collaboration with the founders, the product team, and senior reliability engineers at our customer plants.
Helsinki office, with flexibility when you need it.
Submit your CV and fill in the details in the application form. We review applications on a rolling basis. Salary expectations welcome but not required.
