About the Role

We are looking for a practical and independent Head of Finance to take full ownership of our finance function. As we scale, we need someone who can manage our daily financial operations while turning numbers into clear, actionable insights for our management and board.

You will work closely with our leadership team to build the financial structure, automation, and predictability that guides our growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • Financial Ownership: Take full responsibility for our finance calendar, monthly financial reporting, and board materials, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and credible.

  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Develop and maintain reliable, rolling forecasting models—including cash flow, cost developments, recruitment planning, and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor our runway and cash flow closely, providing management with the clear visibility needed to support global hiring and investment decisions.

  • Outsourced Partner Collaboration: Act as the primary owner of our relationship and daily cooperation with external accounting partners. You don't just hand tasks over the fence; you follow through, check the accuracy of the numbers, and close the loop.

  • Process Optimization & Automation: Oversee foundational financial routines (invoicing, payments, cost control) and systematically improve them by automating manual, repetitive steps.

  • Business Controlling: Support commercial decision-making by tracking performance drivers like sales pipeline versus targets, gross margin development, and regional or segment performance.

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant Experience: A solid background in finance and business controlling, with an understanding of how recurring revenue software (SaaS) businesses and metrics (ARR, NRR, churn) work.

  • Hands-on Builder: A practical professional who is comfortable executing operational finance routines independently, collaborating with external vendors, and creating digital structure where it does not yet exist.

  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional spreadsheet modeling skills with the ability to move fluidly between deep details and the big strategic picture.

  • Communication Style: The ability to explain financial topics in plain language and the confidence to constructively challenge leadership with hard facts. Excellent written and spoken English skills are required, as it is our primary working language across our international offices.
