Shoppers expect more from product content. So does AI. Richer imagery and video on one side, AI-powered shopping assistants and machine-readable data on the other: brands and retailers need their product content to be accurate, complete, and live everywhere, automatically. That's what Syncle does.
We move product content, data, images, and video, from where it's created to where it's sold. We're at €3M ARR with a stable platform business and 500+ customers such as L’oreal, KICKS, Bosch and Elkjøp. The next phase is built on a new product surface that changes how the workflow runs. It’s more automated, more configurable, and serves customer types and markets we couldn't fully reach before. We're backed by Vendep Capital and Ampli Ventures.
As our previous tech lead is moving into a Principal Architect role with a focused technical scope, the new Head of Technology takes full ownership of the platform's technical direction, the engineering team, and execution.
The role sits on the leadership team as a peer to product, commercial, and finance, with shared ownership of where the company goes. You report to the CEO.
Syncle’s technical direction. Our stack is deliberately lean and standard, with conscious avoidance of tight vendor lock-in where it would cost us flexibility. You track where the industry is heading and bring that thinking into our decisions. You form a clear point of view on how AI reshapes our direction and make the right bets to stay ahead, and connect technical choices to commercial outcomes.
Lead the engineering team. You own the engineering organisation: a team of 9 engineers, (including a mix of back-end, full stack, front-end and data engineers) their performance, culture, and day-to-day leadership. You shape ways of working that remove bottlenecks and help the team ship fast. You drive change when priorities shift.
Technical credibility. Strong enough to earn the team's respect, ready to show hands-on how things are done, and able to make sharp calls on where to invest and where to simplify. You will very likely still write, generate, and monitor your agents work, and deploy code by shipping a product
AI judgement and fluency. AI is built into our product where it does real work. We're looking for someone with genuine hands-on experience with AI tools and models, clear views on where they earn their place in a product, and equally clear views on where they don't.
Business-driven builder. Product development exists to solve customer problems and drive commercial outcomes, full stop. You know when something is good enough to ship. You can make technical concepts land with product and commercial stakeholders.
Leadership character. A go-getter who gets things done through both technical skill and genuine people sense. You drive change through conviction, not hierarchy. You actually want to understand the people around you.
You'll be shaping how an entire engineering organisation works at the moment product content stops being a back-office concern and becomes how AI agents, marketplaces, and channels read the world. The team is talented. A lot has already been built. Your job is to take it somewhere new.
You'll have autonomy and real trust. We care about outcomes, not activity. We're direct, low ego, and we take the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We believe the quality of what we build comes down to the quality of how we treat each other. If that's the environment you do your best work in, this is the right place.
Compensation reflects the demand of the role and the experience of the person we hire, including meaningful equity. Healthcare and lunch vouchers. A Helsinki office on Bulevardi with breakfast and a gym.
We're interviewing on a rolling basis. Q3 is our target start, but the right person matters more than the calendar. Drop in your application and let's talk.
