It makes subscription management effortless, intelligent, and ready for scale. We are in full growth mode. You’ll thrive in a high-energy, creative, and transparent environment fueled by collaboration. With hubs in Amsterdam, Kraków, Stockholm, Malmö, and Philadelphia, plus remote contributors, we’re building a truly global team. Want to make a real difference for subscription businesses around the world? Come join us.
We’re looking for a Quality Engineer with a strong interest in AI and automation to help redefine how quality assurance works at Younium. As our engineering teams continue to move faster with the support of AI tooling, we want to ensure quality scales alongside delivery - not by relying on more manual testing, but by building smarter, AI-driven ways of validating software.
In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of development, QA, and cloud/platform engineering to design and implement modern testing and automation capabilities. You’ll have a key role in shaping how we approach quality engineering in an AI-first environment.
Key responsibilities
Build AI-Driven Testing Capabilities - Develop AI-powered test agents and automated workflows that can interpret requirements, execute relevant test scenarios, and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams
Drive Intelligent Test Automation - Use LLMs and AI tooling to generate, maintain, and improve unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage across the platform
Own QA Pipeline Automation - Design and maintain automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Tekton to ensure reliable and trusted deployments
Improve Test Reliability & Coverage - Identify gaps in testing, reduce flaky tests, and use AI-assisted approaches to continuously improve confidence in releases
Support Testing of AI Features - Help define testing strategies and evaluation frameworks for AI-driven product capabilities where outputs may not always be deterministic
Enable Engineering Teams - Build reusable tooling, frameworks, and best practices that make AI-driven QA capabilities accessible across the engineering organisation
Collaborate Across Engineering - Work closely with developers, CloudOps, and platform teams to embed quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle
Strong interest in AI and automation – Hands-on experience experimenting with LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted workflows
Experience with software testing and quality engineering – Understanding of automated testing strategies across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Comfortable writing and maintaining code – Able to build automation, integrate APIs, and work with CI/CD tooling and scripting as part of everyday engineering work
Experience with CI/CD and modern engineering workflows – Familiarity with GitHub Actions, pipeline automation, and deployment workflows
Cloud and infrastructure understanding – Experience working with Azure or other major cloud platforms, including infrastructure, deployments, and infrastructure-as-code concepts
Interest in AI evaluation and observability – Understanding of how to validate and evaluate AI-driven functionality and measure reliability of AI-assisted systems
Collaborative and proactive mindset – Comfortable working in fast-moving teams with shifting priorities and taking ownership of quality-related initiatives Bonus
Experience with AI agent frameworks or AI evaluation tooling
Familiarity with Tekton or Kubernetes-based pipelines
Experience working with Azure AI / Microsoft Foundry
Background in development, DevOps, or platform engineering
Interest in improving engineering productivity through AI-assisted workflows
We’re looking for someone curious, hands-on, and genuinely excited about the intersection of AI and quality engineering. You enjoy experimenting with new tools and approaches, and you’re motivated by solving complex quality challenges in modern software development environments.
You take ownership, learn quickly, and are comfortable navigating between development, automation, infrastructure, and testing. Whether your background is in QA, development, or DevOps, what matters most is your ability to build practical solutions and help engineering teams ship high-quality software with confidence.
GitHub and GitHub Actions, Azure, Microsoft Foundry, Tekton, and modern AI/LLM tooling. You don’t need experience with every technology in our stack, but you should be comfortable learning new tools and adapting quickly.
True work-life harmony: We offer a remote-friendly setup, flexible hours, and boundaries you can trust.
Real impact: Work on one of the most innovative platforms in subscription management and directly influence how our customers scale.
An employer who genuinely cares: We are proud to offer a workplace where everyone can thrive, feel safe to be themselves, and do their best work.
Unforgettable yearly kick-offs: Join the entire Younium team on annual trips (recent we have been to Croatia, the Netherlands, and Sweden).
Continuous learning: Access mentorship, learning programs, and real opportunities to grow your skills.
A talented, supportive team: Work alongside highly skilled, driven teammates who make things happen today rather than tomorrow. And just as importantly, who collaborate closely and truly enjoy spending time together — from regular team lunches to relaxed after-work hangouts.
At Younium, we hire exceptional people. What matters to us is your drive, that you take ownership, and the value you deliver — not your gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, age, ability, or religion.
📆 ⏰ starting date for this position will preferably be ASAP (after summer).
📍 Please note that we do not offer any relocation package, nor will we recruit outside the EU for this position. This role will have a hybrid remote setup.
