Scrimba is a learning platform for developers with more than 2 million users worldwide. We’re now looking for a dedicated fullstack developer to join our core team in Oslo, Norway (onsite, not remote).

PS: There is no reason to waste your time applying unless you live in or around Oslo, as we won’t consider remote applicants.

As a developer at Scrimba, you’ll play a central role in building the future of the learning experience, where AI of course plays a key role. You’ll get a lot of responsibility and work on things like:

• building world-class AI-powered learning experiences

• helping evolve our architecture and infrastructure

• collaborating closely with the team on how the product should work

Our tech stack today consists of:

• APIs and backend services written in Imba (our in-house programming language that compiles to JavaScript)

• frontend written in Imba

• dedicated servers in addition to some public cloud infrastructure

• Cloudflare as proxy and cache

• web services run with Nginx, Node.js

• Postgres and Redis

Who we’re looking for

You’re curious, self-driven, and enjoy building and launching products. You learn quickly and have strong technical instincts. You thrive in a day-to-day with high focus and few meetings/distractions.

You need to be comfortable with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend development. In addition, you should be able to pick up a new language (Imba) quickly.

We’re open to both strong juniors and more experienced seniors. We don’t care about what education you have. The only thing that really matters is your ability to build high-quality products.
