The Mission

Univrses is building the next generation of advanced automotive perception capabilities at the intersection of hardware and software. The company is transforming these capabilities into scalable, productized solutions for the automotive ecosystem. Your role will be to lead the commercial development of these solutions, shaping the value proposition for the different market segments and preparing customers for the delivery of scalable production-ready AD/ADAS software modules.

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager with a strong track record in the automotive industry to drive growth by identifying, securing, and closing AD/ADAS projects, contracts, and software solution deals with automotive brands, OEMs, and Tier 1 suppliers. This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who understands automotive ecosystems and their sales cycles.

Location: our HQ is in Stockholm but we are flexible. The role is ideal for a person with a willingness to travel often to key automotive hubs like Stuttgart, Munich, and Wolfsburg.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively hunt, qualify, and close new business opportunities, from first outreach to signed contract

  • Lead execution of the go-to-market strategy across OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, and mobility players

  • Build and maintain a strong, forward-looking sales pipeline across software, SaaS, and technical services

  • Lead the full sales cycle end-to-end, including discovery, solution design, pricing, negotiation, and closing

  • Act as the commercial face of the company within the automotive ecosystem

  • Work with the CTO to assess inbound leads and ad-hoc opportunities, prioritizing and converting them efficiently

  • Work closely with the management, product, and engineering teams to shape offerings, refine messaging, and close deals

  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling business outcomes for customers

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings, actively building brand presence

  • Track market trends, competitors, and customer signals to identify new opportunities and influence strategy

What You Bring

  • Significant experience in business development, enterprise sales, or commercial leadership within the automotive software sector

  • A proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals with OEMs and/or Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers

  • A strong and active network across automotive OEMs, suppliers, or mobility companies

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with high self-direction

  • Highly confident in executive-level conversations, negotiations, and presentations

  • Strong technical curiosity and the ability to bridge customer needs with product and engineering teams

Bonus Points

  • You possess a deep-rooted network and established relationships within the German Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier ecosystem and major OEMs.

  • Fluency in German and a nuanced understanding of the local business etiquette.
