Swappie is scaling, and our infrastructure needs to do the same! We are looking for a proactive and service minded team player to join our tech organization in Tallinn as a
Our new Senior Network Administrator will be the person who decides how Swappie's infrastructure is built — from factory floor cabling in Tallinn to Zero Trust rollouts in Helsinki. You will be the technical backbone of our global operations, ensuring that our connectivity, security, and systems are built to scale. In this role, you won't just manage our IT ecosystem; you will be responsible for its evolution. We are looking for a "builder" who can design resilient infrastructure to meet the most challenging needs, mentor a growing team of colleagues, and bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and Swappie’s overarching business KPIs.
We welcome you to our friendly site in Tallinn, Järve, as soon as you are able to join us. The nature of the role and global IT responsibility requires travelling to our Helsinki and Leipzig offices up to a couple of times per quarter. The contract is full-time and permanent.
Architect & Build: Take ownership of network construction and systems design. You aren't just maintaining; you are building the physical and logical frameworks for our offices and large-scale factory operations.
Master Connectivity: Act as the internal authority on network routing, switching, firewalls, and high-density wireless environments - ensuring zero downtime for critical production lines.
Lead Systems Evolution: Manage and optimize our core services ecosystem (Directory Services, Zero Trust, and Cloud Identity). You will lead the migration from "working" systems to "high-performance" architecture.
Hybrid L3 Support: Serve as the final escalation point for complex hardware and software failures, bridging the gap between physical equipment and virtualized environments.
Drive Global Standards: Define the blueprint for how Swappie deploys IT at new sites. You will ensure that a Swappie site in Leipzig operates with the same excellence and security as one in Tallinn.
Solid Experience: A track record in a high-stakes IT Engineering and/or Network Administration role, preferably within an international or industrial/manufacturing context.
Networking Expertise: Deep knowledge of network construction (cabling, rack layout management), configuration (VLANs, Firewalls, VPN/IPSec tunneling), development (patching schedules, hardware cycle periods) and management (IPAM, monitoring)
Systems Mastery: Advanced experience with Active Directory (Microsoft AD, SAML), MDM solutions (Jamf/Intune or similar), and Virtualization platforms.
The "Engineer" Mindset: Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, etc.) to automate infrastructure tasks and reduce manual toil.
Project Leadership: A track record of leading physical IT rollouts and infrastructure migrations independently.
Language: Professional fluency in English with the ability to make complex technical concepts and issues to non-technical stakeholders easily understandable.
A chance to make an impact on making a more sustainable future by making refurbished mainstream.
