As a Driver Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the driver organization within Delivery. You are accountable for performance in HSE, quality, and efficiency, as well as people management, training, and compliance with company and legal standards.

What you’ll be doing as Driver Operations Manager

  • Operational Planning & Execution: Oversee daily dispatch, route adjustments and next-day planning to ensure on-time departures and optimal driver availability.

  • Personnel Management & Compliance: Manage the full employee lifecycle in our HCM system including scheduling, hour approvals, sick leave follow-up, and ensuring alignment with the Working Environment Act.

  • Talent Development & Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process (interviews to hiring) and coordinate driver onboarding, training, and performance-based retraining with Driver Team Leaders.

  • HSE & Facility Standards: Conduct daily HSE rounds and damage assessments to maintain fleet tidiness, cargo safety, and workspace cleanliness.

  • Leadership & Escalation: Lead weekly Driver Team Leader meetings and delegate tasks effectively, ensuring serious on-road deviations or "red flags" are escalated to the Site Delivery Manager.

Our goal is to create the world's most efficient retail system. Through smart work, passionate customer focus and our own technology we make a difference in the lives of thousands of customers and change society for the better through a completely re-imagined value chain for grocery shopping. Our customers save more than 60 hours a year, time we believe can be better spent than going to the store. Our effective value chain and logistics save society tonnes of food waste each year and our distribution network replace almost 13,000 individual trips by car to the grocery store each year.
