Role Description

Amertate’s hybrid wind turbine is entering its next stage of refinement and production scaling, and we are preparing for large-scale rollout across the EU market. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in improving the product’s manufacturability, production readiness, and overall implementation pathway.

We’re looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer who can bridge the gap between design, production, and real-world implementation. In this role, you will help develop Amertate’s full supply-to-implementation chain, from researching and managing supplier and manufacturing partnerships to sourcing raw materials, supporting production methods, performing machining tasks, and overseeing product assembly and testing. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering and production, helping turn an innovative wind turbine into a scalable commercial product.

Your work will include:

  • Supply Chain Research & Development: Explore and develop supply chain strategies to optimize sourcing, manufacturing, and scalability.

  • Hands-on Manufacturing: Apply practical experience with machinery and methods such as turning, welding, and milling.

  • R&D Contribution: Support ongoing product development and refinement of Amertate’s hybrid wind turbine to enhance production readiness.

  • Machinery & Production Methods: Work hands-on with manufacturing techniques and equipment relevant to turbine production.

  • Hardware Assembly & Integration: Hands-on experience in assembly of hardware, prototyping, and system integration of mechanical systems.

  • Supplier & Installation Coordination: Experience working with external suppliers or installation partners in industrial projects.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, and deployment teams to ensure seamless product implementation.

Nice to have (the following are a plus):

  • Modelling & Analysis: Experience with SolidWorks for mechanical design, modeling, and simulations.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of technical documentation and standards for certification processes.

  • Experience in wind energy, renewable energy, or machinery design industries.

  • Familiarity with project management tools or experience in coordinating between engineering and production teams.

  • Knowledge of materials engineering or structural analysis principles.

  • Startup Mindset & Growth: Willingness to engage in a startup environment and grow together with the team.

  • Electromechanical Awareness: Basic understanding of electrical or electromechanical systems integration.

  • Sourcing & Cost Awareness: Familiarity with sourcing, vendor communication, and cost optimization in hardware projects.

What skills do you need?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in machinery design, manufacturing, or similar industries.

  • Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing methods.

  • Excellent problem-solving, adaptability, and creativity.

  • Fluent in English; Finnish is a plus.

  • Based in Finland (only candidates with local work eligibility will be considered).

What can you expect from Amertate?

  • Work in an innovative and fast-growing green energy company.

  • Be part of a mission-driven team building sustainable energy solutions that matter.

  • Enjoy growth opportunities and hands-on experience across design, prototyping, and production.

  • Contribute to a product that’s already operational and ready for global scaling.

Electricity consumers looking for reliable on-site wind solutions have no viable and affordable options. Conventional turbines are noisy, inefficient in harsh climates, and unsuitable for residential areas, while solar panels in northern regions are ineffective in winter and space-intensive. High transmission costs and limited off-grid access remain big challenge Amertate has a patented hybrid wind turbine providing reliable, affordable, green energy. Installable on rooftops or lands, it generates on-site electricity, reduces fossil fuel reliance, and ensures independence in crises. Designed for harsh northern climates, operates efficiently in low wind, reduces size of energy storage, is 100% recyclable, super quiet, and residential-safe.
