About Six Robotics

At Six Robotics, we build intelligent software that gives Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) the ability to collaborate, adapt on the fly, and execute missions that were previously impossible. From our base in Oslo, our 70+ experts in defence, software, and AI develop our flagship autonomy and swarm platform used by both government and industry. In close partnership with the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), we move fast from concept to live deployment, often in the field alongside end users.

We work with advanced hardware and software, a modern tech stack, and missions that demand both technical mastery and operational discipline. Everyone is close to the action, from deep technical problem-solving to field operations. We move fast and value clarity, integrity, and teamwork in everything we do.

At Six Robotics, every person executes with precision, adapts to changing conditions, and strengthens the team. Getting in is hard, and you’ll be challenged every day. But if you have the skill, the discipline, and the drive to push your limits and always be sharpening your blade, you’ll find no better place to deliver real-world impact while collaborating and learning from the best in the field.

About The Role

At Six Robotics, we are building advanced autonomous systems for real-world missions. Achieving this safely and at scale requires more than great engineers, it requires a strong, operational function that enables us to operate internationally in a legally robust and sustainable way.

This is where you come in.

We are operating in a highly regulated domain where our core technology falls under export control regulations. Every international sale, deployment, demonstration, and collaboration depends on correct classification, licensing, and compliance processes.

We are looking for a person with DOer mentality, who will play a key role in defining how Six Robotics handles export control, licensing, and regulatory compliance, from the ground up.

Your mission is to ensure that Six Robotics can scale internationally in a compliant and predictable way, by building the processes, structure, and operational backbone that allows us to move fast without creating legal or commercial risk.

This includes owning the full lifecycle of export compliance activities, while also designing the systems and frameworks that make compliance scalable across the organisation.

You will be part of the Supply Chain function and work closely with engineering, product, and commercial teams.

What You Will Do

  • Own and operate day-to-day export control and trade compliance activities

  • Classify products, software, and technology against relevant export control regulations

  • Prepare, submit, and manage export license applications to DEKSA

  • Own the full license lifecycle (application, approval, reporting, renewal)

  • Conduct transaction screening (end-user, end-use, sanctions)

  • Assess deemed export risks related to foreign nationals in the organisation

  • Build and maintain the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) from the ground up

  • Develop internal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day compliance execution while also building structure and systems for the future.

You are comfortable working at the intersection of law, technology, and operations. You are proactive, structured, and able to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical processes that the organisation can actually follow.

You are confident enough to pause activity when necessary, even under commercial pressure, and pragmatic enough to ensure compliance is always operational, not just documented.

We believe the right candidate brings:

  • Experience with export control and/or sanctions

  • Experience with license applications and interaction with authorities

  • Strong structuring skills and risk awareness

  • Ability to operationalize complex regulations into clear, usable processes

  • Clear communication and ability to influence stakeholders across functions

  • Norwegian and English language proficiency (written and spoken)

Nice-to-haves:

  • Defence, aerospace, or deep tech industry background

  • Familiarity with EU Dual-Use Regulation, ITAR/EAR, or Wassenaar Arrangement

  • Experience building Internal Compliance Programmes (ICP) or similar frameworks

  • Understanding of software, autonomy, or advanced technology systems

  • Experience working in fast-scaling or early-stage companies

Why You Should Join

At Six Robotics, we're not just building software - we're redefining how unmanned systems operate in the real world. If you're driven by meaningful problems, technical depth, and the chance to shape something from the ground up, you'll find your place here.

  • Work on problems that matter

Our technology helps unlock smarter, safer, and more adaptable UAV operations in defense and industry, solving real challenges with direct, tangible impact.

  • Lead the shift in a hardware-dominated space

We're bringing modern AI, autonomy, and scalable software into a field that's long relied on rigid, pre-programmed systems, to change how UAVs are designed, deployed, and managed.

  • Build from zero, shape the future

Join early and help define the core systems, tools, and culture of a company that’s still being built - where your ideas, code, and decisions will have a lasting influence.

  • Work with purpose, supported by great benefits
You'll be part of a mission-driven team that values clarity, integrity, and collaboration, offering competitive pay, equity potential, strong insurance and pension plans, and ongoing learning opportunities.

Our Recruitment Process

  • Screening interview with one of our recruiters to get to know you better (30 min)

  • Personality and Ability Test to be solved in your own time

  • Meet & Greet with someone from the team to learn more about us (60 min).

  • Case assignment to be solved in your own time, followed by an in-depth interview more closely related to the specifics of the role (90 min).

  • Final interview with our Head of People (45 min)

Reference check followed by an offer if everything goes well. We consider applications continuously, so don’t hold off with applying if this looks interesting.

Our Commitment to Inclusion
At Six Robotics, we are committed to creating a workplace built on respect, integrity, and collaboration. We value different perspectives and experiences, and we believe that diversity within our team strengthens both our work and our culture. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply and help us build technology that makes a real impact.
