Why this role matters

Our Threat Security team sits at the core of Hoxhunt’s detection and remediation capabilities.

As a Software Engineer focused on Threat and Email Security, you will build the systems that security operators rely on to analyze threats, remediate inboxes, and keep organizations safe. This is a full-stack role and you’ll work on a product that processes and makes sense of real threats reported by users.

This is a chance to build security products that go beyond simulations and directly shape how security teams detect, investigate, and respond to attacks.

What you’ll own and drive

• Build and deliver robust full-stack solutions, from backend systems to intuitive user interfaces, enabling threat remediation and comprehensive reporting.

• Own your engineering projects end-to-end, bringing a strong product-first mindset to every technical decision you make.

• Collaborate with integration engineers to guarantee a seamless data exchange between our user-facing plugins and the backend infrastructure.

• Partner with the team in product design discussions to ensure we are always solving real user problems.

• Improve team processes, technical excellence, and the overall engineering culture within our group.

• Support both the threat and integration areas flexibly as our team structure continues to evolve.

What success looks like

In your first three months you will learn the core systems, contribute to threat remediation and start improving small parts of how the team works.

By month six you will independently manage projects end to end, contribute meaningfully to the product, and play an active role in improving how the team operates.

What makes you thrive here

You have:

• Strong full stack development skills with Node, TypeScript, and React

• Experience building and delivering SaaS products, ideally in security operations or developer tooling

• A product oriented mindset and a strong focus on solving real user problems

• The ability to navigate ambiguity and take ownership in a lean and fast moving environment

• Comfort working with both new and existing systems

• An AI native mindset with experience or strong interest in building software using agent based systems

• An interest in designing systems where agents can work effectively rather than writing every line of code yourself

• A way of thinking in feedback loops, iteration, and continuous improvement of how software gets built

Bonus points if you also

• Have experience in email security, threat detection, or cybersecurity tools

• Are familiar with Agile practices and structured ways of working

• Compensation: Monthly salary of €5000-6500 depending on your experience.

2. Interview with the Hiring Manager / Team Lead (60 min, remote).

3. Technical Assignment and Panel Interview with your future team members.
