Saxon is working with one of our portfolio companies to hire a Frontend Engineer to help build the user interface for a next-generation application on the Canton Network.
This role sits at the intersection of modern frontend engineering and distributed application design, building clean, high-performance interfaces for a Canton-based product. You’ll work closely with backend engineers and application teams to deliver intuitive user experiences for complex multi-party workflows.
Building modern frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
Developing responsive, high-performance user interfaces for Canton Network applications
Integrating frontend systems with backend services, APIs, and application layers connected to Daml/Canton workflows
Working closely with backend engineers on transaction flows, permissions, and multi-party business logic
Improving UX for complex operational and financial workflows
Contributing to frontend architecture, design systems, and component libraries
Strong experience with TypeScript and React
Experience building production applications with Next.js
Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and distributed backend systems
Understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimisation
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong problem-solving mindset
Exposure to Canton Network, Daml, or distributed application platforms
Experience working on workflow-heavy, enterprise, or financial applications
Familiarity with authentication, permissions, and transaction-based user journeys
Experience designing interfaces for complex data or operational systems
