Fluidan is looking for a Student Software Developer to support the development of software for our RheoStream® instruments and related systems. You will work closely with our Software Engineer on developing and maintaining software used both for operating the RheoStream device and integrating it into industrial production environments.
RheoStream is a unique measurement technology that enables real-time rheology measurements in industrial process lines. By continuously measuring viscosity and flow properties during production, manufacturers gain valuable insights for process control, product quality, and efficiency.
From day one, you will be part of the Fluidan team and contribute to real product development in a collaborative and hands-on environment.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with real-world software development, including:
Embedded Linux systems
Device programming
Industrial communication protocols used in modern manufacturing
You will work on real product features and receive guidance from experienced colleagues while developing your technical skills.
The workplace is located at DTU Science Park in Kgs. Lyngby. We offer 40–50 hours per month, with a preferred starting date of 1 May 2026.
Your tasks will include:
Software development for embedded Linux devices, including programming in C++ and scripting in Python and Bash
Development and configuration of industrial communication interfaces (e.g., OPC-UA, ProfiNet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP)
Software testing, both ad hoc and automated
Supporting day-to-day development tasks: Preparing and programming embedded Linux devices; Debugging and troubleshooting systems
You are preferably enrolled in a Master’s program in automation, engineering, computer science or a related field and you have some programming experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience working with Linux (terminal and SSH)
Programming experience in C/C++
Bash or shell scripting
Basic understanding of computer networking
Experience with Git and GitHub
Familiarity with PLCs
Experience with microcontrollers
Experience with Raspberry Pi or similar platforms
