In this role, you will build and evolve the Manufacturing Execution System and fabrication data flows that power our quantum chip fabrication. You will turn real cleanroom work into clear, traceable data and reliable workflows, so our teams can move faster from R&D learning to stable production. Your work connects process development, equipment readiness, and manufacturing visibility, and helps IQM scale new chip generations with confidence.

What will I be doing?

  • Lead the development and optimization of MES and data stream of fabrication processes

  • Design, execute, and analyze hypothesis-driven experiments to explore new methods, materials, or flows

  • Collaborate closely with Equipment, Cleanroom, Process Engineering, Chip Production, and QPU Design teams to ensure technical alignment, tool readiness, and process integration

  • Train other Fabrication team members in MES and data usage, and promote a safe and transparent working culture inside and outside of the cleanroom

  • Contribute to internal knowledge by maintaining detailed, traceable documentation of development work, including experimental logs, incident reports, and key learnings

  • Support the transition of validated R&D processes toward scalable and manufacturable production

  • Maintain and deploy MES solutions

  • Modify MES to support fab needs

  • Support MES system administration

  • Work with data and other teams to develop and deploy data dashboards

  • Work with MES vendor and external partners when needed

What skills do I need?

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree (no specific major required, we welcome different academic paths)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in fab MES engineering or administration

  • Experience with MES platforms (e.g., Camstar, PROMIS, Eyelit, Fab300, CIM)

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases

  • Familiarity with manufacturing workflows, WIP management, and factory automation concepts

  • Understanding of SEMI standards (SECS/GEM, EDA, GEM300)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly controlled manufacturing environment
