Reva Group is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to help shape and drive the backend of our rental platforms, operating in more than 35 markets.

In this role, you will work closely with our Backend Tech Lead to build and evolve scalable backend services in Ruby on Rails. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of complex technical topics, turn unclear or high-level goals into robust solutions, and deliver them reliably. This is not a role for someone who needs constant direction — it's for someone who thrives on responsibility and impact.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Ruby on Rails

• Own and drive complex backend initiatives from concept to production

• Work on topics that require architectural thinking, not just ticket execution

• Help translate product and business needs into technical solutions

• Act as a technical sparring partner for the Backend Tech Lead

• Support and mentor less experienced developers through reviews, guidance, and problem-solving

• Continuously improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of our systems

What we're looking for

• Strong professional experience with Ruby on Rails

• Solid expertise in PostgreSQL and backend data modeling

• High-level proficiency in English, written and spoken

• Ability to work independently and proactively

• Strong communication skills: you can explain complex technical topics clearly

• You are comfortable making technical decisions and standing behind them

• You are someone others naturally turn to when they are stuck

Bonus points for experience with

• React (for effective frontend collaboration)

• Docker and/or AWS

• Elasticsearch / OpenSearch
